Hacking TWLFix not working

Alright I have a question here. I've been out of the scene for several years. Picked up a 3ds xl used. I think it may have had CFW on it at one point and they may have messed it up. The DS Connection and DSware games will not run. I have tried the TWLFix both the manual way by grabbing a game freon the shop and dumping it. Along with the easier method. It still will not work! Are there any other methods out there? Or is it just broke?

Try the older method of fixing DS(i) mode.

The links are quite clearly two posts above my original post here in the post by @TurdPooCharger. You will.need a torrent downloader on your PC. There are two links to torrent downloaders in the the same post by TurdPooCharger

Install a mac torrent downloader.

nevermind, i got them, i assume that should fix it

that didnt work either, the nds mode on the 3ds still filickers a white screen
