NO
It is not okay
y u no save the planet  y u no care about greenhouse effect  (also electricity bill)

if you leave stuff always on, they die really faster.. i don't know about the xbone, but previous xbox not sure which one) i heard it did get hot easily and wastes too much power.. (maybe rumours)

the first revisions of ps3 die easly because of heat...

It's Said that The Xbox One consumes a pretty enormous ammount of power (being beaten only by the PS4 apparantly) So your electricity bill may be higher by doing so, though probably not by much.

That depends on what you treat as ridiculous consumption.

~70 watts is about as much as your average incandescent lightbulb. Call Greenpeace, everybody! It's also very unlikely that the console will overheat while under practically zero stress whatsoever, but there will be some wear and tear and it will continuously suck up dust, of course. If you fancy keeping it on, go ahead. Not sure why you'd want to, but hey!

Overheating Xbones/PS4's might happen.
Well, it will get progressively heater, the more dust it collects n accumulates in the heatsinks.

But hey OP, if you feel like leaving it on, then do so.
It's not like yer destroying the entire enviroment with it by doing so.

Just keep it clean of dust tho ;]
