ROM Hack [Tutorial] How to Decrypt, Extract & Rebuild a CIA

Hi!

I've a question.
If I can watch my key in the slot0x25KeyX.bin, Can I put these key in other NAND for dump (or downgrade) in my console?

All it does for me is gives me an empty exe folder. Any suggestions?

What's your cia/file?
Are you sure he is decrypted? (check also the date, can be something like 12/12/2000 00h00)
Decrypt9 said succeeded or failed?

What Are you talking about?
The key in slot.bin can just be used for decrypt games.

It was an update on that site. First, I used your "cia" ecrypter and it popped out files: DecrypedExHeader.bin, DecrypedExeFS.bin, and DecryptedRomFS. Then, I proceded to use your "exefs" decrypter to pop out a the .code.bin. It put some text on the screen very quickly, asked me if I want the code.bin decrypted, and then went back to the select screen. There after, there was a folder, "exe", in the Pack Hack folder. It was empty. All this was done within the "Hacking Toolkit" batch file.

Hey thanks for deleting my comment and my previous thread too, what am I supposed to ask for then? How am I supposed to get the files that I want without it being illegal or copyright related? Also what do you mean asking for copyrighted material? I have the .cia file that I can't extract because I don't have a 3ds, I'm just asking someone to decrypt and extract it for me. I just want the contents in the romfs. Are you worried about getting sued?

I wish that I saw what that guy replied to me.

gbatemp stopped diffusing copyrighted content since some years ago, read the rules. Decrypted RomFS are copyrighted to nintendo, since it is basically a ROM ripped apart.

I think the program has an error. I decrypted a few cias and all was ok, then I extracted the PackHack folder and when I select cia and put the name of my cia some text appears very fast and then it ask me "Decompress the code.bin file (n/y) ?:". After a little while I was able to screenshot the text and I think the error is because my username in Windows have a space, like "Juan Pedro". I says: "C:\Users\Juan" no se reconoce como un comando interno o externo, programa o archivo por lotes ejecutable (in spanish xD).

Try in C:/ or in another folder without spaces.

Hm, same problem.. I used decrypt 9 first then
It said success but there was the ncch decryption that said fail.

I put the cia to packhack, ran hackingtool,
typed in cia
the filename without .cia
then it asked if I want it decompressed,
then just went back to the starting menu... nothing was generated...

I wonder what I missed.

I repeated decrypt9 this time it said success
but hackingtool results the same.

Would this work for DLC? I'm trying to decrypt and extract Fire Emblem If DLC, but on the extracting part, I get files like "Contents.bin.00xx.xxxxxxxx"

Yeah, I've used Decrypt9 to decrypt the DLC, then I moved the DLC back to the PackHack folder and tried using HackingToolKit.exe to extract the stuff.
The end result was...yeah... Wasn't able to get much of the DLC content...

Wait so... Not only does this work for Awakening, but it can also work with Fire Emblem if/Fates?!

Strange... It's not even opening up... I can open up hacktoolkit.exe just fine...
