ROM Hack Tutorial for extracting a database from ORAS pokemon??

Hi,

i'm looking for a way to extract the database from the game,
i want to try make a little app or program,
i know there are lot of them out already,
but i just want to try something different,
and learn a lot in the process.

if anybody could point me in the right direction i would be soooo grateful ^^

what do you mean by database ?

Extract all data from the game ?

I mean something like, getting all data with items, movesets, the pokedex files in one big sqlite database.
