Homebrew [Tutorial] Downgrading from 11.2 with fasthax

Success!!!
A .3dsx of fasthax was released by nedwill!!! It's still a beta though so it's not perfect!!!

Dsiware method (this method is outdated and pretty tedious, not to mention completely unnecessary, but it will still work. However I reccomend the safehax method!)

(I may or may not have just copied and pasted this from my old guide hehe...)

(IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE OR BRICKING THAT YOU MAY CAUSE TO YOUR SYSTEM)


You'll need just a few things for this

1. access to the homebrew launcher (oot3dhax, steelhax, stickerhax, soundhax, etc.)
2. Nedwills Fasthax https://github.com/nedwill/fasthax/releases
3. The dsiwarehax installer by yellow8 which is found herehttps://github.com/yellows8/3ds_dsi...wnload/v1.1/3ds_dsiwarehax_installer_v1.1.zip
4. dgTool which is found here in plailects guidehttps://github.com/Plailect/dgTool/releases/tag/v2.0.0
5. The NFIRM.zip corresponding with your 3ds also in plailects guide https://3ds.guide/dsiware-downgrade-(save-injection-and-second-3ds)
6. 3DSident to confirm the everything went according to plan https://github.com/joel16/3DSident/releases/tag/0.7
7. Your exploitable dsiware game of choice which include

The legend of zelda: Four swords
Legends of Exidia
Guitar Rock Tour
Fieldrunners
(YOU NEED ONE OF THESE TO COMPLETE THIS GUIDE)

9. A torrent client such as utorrent to download the NFIRM.zip http://www.utorrent.com/

--First you'll need to set up everything on your sd card

1. copy the contents of the "dsiwarehax installer.zip" to the root of your sd card.
2. copy the "fasthax.3dsx" to your 3ds folder
3.copy the "boot.nds" from the dgTool website to the root of your sd card
4.create a folder named "dgTool" on the root of your sd card
5.copy the contents of the NFIRM.zip to the "dgTool" folder you just created
6.copy the contents of the 3DSident.zip to the root of your sd card
7.reinsert your sd card and boot.

--Now Boot up into your homebrew launcher!

1.launch Fasthax found in your homebrew launcher
2. once it's finished exit back to the homebrew launcher and launch dsiwarehax installer and follow the on screen instruction
3. once done you may just exit the installer (you may have to force shutdown by holding the power button)
4.TEST THE EXPLOIT BY LAUNCHING YOUR GAME OF CHOICE
Four swords: just launch the game
Legends of exidia: open the first save file and click continue
Guitar Rock Tour: scroll down and click "high scores/drums/easy/"
Fieldrunners: click the scores button on the main menu
5. If it gives you dgTool screen you're golden

--Downgrading the NFIRM

MAKING A NFIRM BACKUP IS A GOOD IDEA BUT NOT REQUIRED, SKIP THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT A BACKUP

1. All you have to do is select "dump f0f1" and keep track of its location.. not to hard right? (p.s. It will be dumped to the dgTool folder you created earlier)

NOW TO DOWNGRADE THE NFIRM

1. click downgrade to 10.4... just do it!
2. once the installer has finished just exit (you may have to force the console to shut down)

--Confirming the exploit worked

1. boot up your 3ds and launch the homebrew launcher through your entry point of choice.
2. launch 3DSident
3. If the following is shown you're golden and another step closer to arm9loaderhax!

• Kernel version: 2.50-11
• FIRM version: 2.50-11

Safehax method

(This method achieves A9LH in significantly less steps and significantly less time, but please procede with caution)

For this you'll need only 4 things

1. Latest release of fasthax https://github.com/nedwill/fasthax/releases
2. Latest version of safehax https://github.com/TiniVi/safehax/releases/tag/r18
3. Latest version of decrypt9https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases/tag/20161113
   
4. Access to the homebrew launcher!

-- setting up the sd card!

1. Copy the safehax .3dsx and .smdh into your "3ds" folder
2. Copy fasthax to your "3ds" folder
3.copy the "decrypt9WIP.bin" to the root of your sd card and rename it to "ARM9.bin"
4. Insert your sd card back into your 3ds and boot!

-- launching decrypt9

1. Open your homebrew launcher
2. Launch fasthax found in your homebrew launcher and then exit back out to the homebrew launcher
3. Launch safehax also found in your homebrew launcher
4. Decrypt9 should launch, this can take several tries! Now you can move to ctr transfer found in plailects guide herehttps://3ds.guide/2.1.0-ctrtransfer

It's an alpha and is currently not stable enough. I wouldn't try it until it's more stable. Wait for the official release.

I followed these exact steps but with slowhax on 11.1... slowhax and fasthax accomplish the same basic task it's just that fasthax is in alpha testing so it should work but I can't guarantee anything

If you go all the way through to 9.2 downgrade you could full brick,
