Yeah this was only temporary. We're working on two themes (light/dark) that will get picked according to your console theme.
I'm just waiting on the guy who does the assets to make a dark version of the background then I'll release.

I'll look into that, ultimately it depends if they are stored inside the save.

The latest release of app works on 1.2.1 b version of the game, but I still seeing version 1.4.0 on turnips when I launch and in the homebrew menu.
It's normal?

Averne prob didnt update the version number since it was a small update. Its normal.

THANKS for this! Redd hasn’t been to my stupid island in almost 3 weeks and I was getting pretty annoyed, but thanks to this I see he’ll be back this Friday.

EDIT: it corrupted my save and I don’t have a recent backup : (

EDIT2: I tried starting the game again and it loaded just fine? WTF?

EDIT3: I’m pretty sure I used AC to launch the homebrew menu and then Turnips. I guess you probably shouldn’t do that...

Edit: Nice, it's working great. Still no Redd for me this week though, my RNG has been really crappy. Only had Redd once since he was added.

It goes without saying, but you should definitely make regular backups, even though the risks are pretty low if not non-existant.

Most likely it was Gullivarr.
At the time I released I hadn't added him to the visitor list, and due to the way the executable is laid out, "Fluctuating" is the next string in line so that's what got printed instead.

Working on some translations right now, if anyone wants to contribute please either make a pull request (see here for a "template" on how to add a language), or translate this json) and I'll handle the rest of the work.
Right now we have Chinese (some NPC names are missing) and French. Thanks in advance.
