Hacking Turn a ps2 Classic to iso?

I try to repack a ps2 classic to an iso to play via pcsx2 but i seem to fail.

First i bought the PKG off PS3 psn
Then i copied it to pc (*.666 files)
Then merged it to iso.bin.enc

After that i used ps2 Classic GUI ans decoded it (maybe Here s the Problem?)
The resulting bin doesnt work sadly

Well topic is no joke.
I really bought it from psn because physical discs here are 30€ while the psn Version is 10€ and i dont want to play it on my ps3 - i d like to play it on my pc actually :x
and because of all those tools i thought it d work out without any problem well ... that was a big mistake it seems.

So i bought the digital one ... cant see any joke in that. Sadly the tool ps2 classic gui doesnt work it seems. I meanwhile found my rif file but the tool says its yakuza3 ... but it actually is persona 4... I do a third try now ... maybe someone got a better idea

Theres was a ps2 emulator working for android, but was using a ps2 emulator for PC so then was copyrighted so was closed down the website/play store apk.

Did managed to play with that, and was 20-24 fps good

Just find the iso on the internet. There's no sense in converting this one when you can easily find the game via Google.

well.. if you buy a PS2 Classic on PS3 (to play on PS3) you get a PKG. This PKG extracts some sort of emulator to play ps2 on ps3.
it contains a file called ISO.BIN.ENC which basically is an encrypted ISO.

Theres a tool called ps2 classic gui from aldotools.
it was made to convert any ps2 iso to ps3 (ps2 classic).
and it has an option to decrypt that file.

this seems to fail. i dont have an iso file of the game.. just the iso.bin.enc :o and now i want an iso file of it. at least a file that can play using pcsx2
but somehow i m quite obviously alone on that topic it seems xD most people seem to not know it should be possible :x

I can not figure this out for the life of me. I also bought a PS2 Classic but I can't decrypt it. How did you fix it?

For future prosperity in case anyone else ends up here in their quest to convert ps2 classic .pkg s to iso files.
I've found a method that works:

First grab your pkg and make sure you have a valid matching rap file
Download the ps3 toolset and install it: http://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps...0-tools-utility-for-your-cfw-enabled-ps3.360/

We'll want to use PkgView.exe to open our pkg, once the pkg file is loaded navigate to "USRDIR", there should be a file labeled "ISO.BIN.ENC should be largest file in the pkg.
right click on it and extract it to a folder of your choosing or in the "source directory" which is where your pkg is.
after extraction move both your "ISO.BIN.ENC" and rap file into the same directory as ps2classic.exe which has two .dll dependencies of "zlib1.dll" and "cygwin1.dll" these files are in the tools package you would have downloaded.

then use cmd to navigate to the folder where your ps2classic.exe setup is and construct your command like the following:

ps2classic.exe d cex YOURRAPHERE.rap ISO.BIN.ENC ISO.BIN ISO.META.DAT

then hopefully you should be able to fully decrypt your iso bin file

As an aside and additional note it seems that the pkg container itself is not encrypted with the rap key but the "ISO.BIN.ENC" is.

Hope this helps out people who had the idea to reverse the process.

What do I do with the resulting ISO.BIN and ISO.META.DAT files? The ISO.BIN appears to be the same I get from PS2 Classic GUI without a command prompt, and I don't know what to do with the ISO.META.DAT file.

the Rap is not used to decrypt the ISO.BIN.ENC file, the klicensee file is.

Use rifconv to convert your RAP file into a klic file, then give that to ps2classics in the command line:

ps2classic.exe d cex YOURKLICFILEHERE.klc ISO.BIN.ENC ISO.BIN ISO.META.DAT

tldr so it is the same process just after you produced the klc, replace that klc in the the tutorial steps instead of the .rap file

yup, well i used a rap file too, but only to produce a klc file and then used the klc in the decrypting process as explained above, by the way this tutorial helped get a very rare game from the ps store, a game that was not available in ISO form anywhere on the internet, i was able to download it as PKG and decrypt it into ISO using this turorial, huge tanks

So you must have a license file? I never tried to connect to PSN with a hacked PS3, and I'd like to avoid the ban risk if possible...

You can use this .bat line:
ps2classic.exe d cex rap.klc ISO.BIN.ENC IMAGE.ISO ISO.META.DAT
pause

You only need these files:
ps2classic.exe
cygwin1.dll

when the iso is overdumped (check with getmd5), remove some extra data in iso with HxD, search
for LIMG in the last sector and delete these lines to the end.

example, from:
LIMG.....# . ....

to the end.

THANK YOU OH MY GOD i've been at this for HOURS. this is exactly what was needed, Klicense, the ps2classics gui from aldostools does say it needs a klicense but only lets you select a .rap and doesnt convert it at all lol. rifconv was able to convert it with no issues and i was able to use that command with the klicense. thank you all for real
