Hello, I just bought a broken Switch hoping to fix it :)

The previous owner told me it had fallen down the stairs, I guess the left joycon took most of the damages, it's missing its rail and buttons.

About the Switch itself, I found it was already open: some screws are missing, the right joycon cable was not put back correctly, the heatshield is bent, even the heatsink seems warped:

There is even thermal paste on the BQ24193 :

I was already watching the TronicsFix channel out of curiosity so I bought an USB meter, IIRC it should read 0.4A on charging and 1.7A when switched on.

In the meantime, can you tell me how it usually works?
I don't have a jingle on boot, when I plug it on the dock its green led switches on for only a second, nothing appears on the TV but the screen switches on:

Because the fan doesn't turn I believe it's only the backlight showing broken screen pieces.
If it was only a broken screen, at least I should be able to use it with the dock right?

Thanks :)

I received the USB meter, it shows between 0.41A et 0.43A en charge, but stays the same when I try to turn it on.
I read some people couldn't start it when the battery was completely flat, so I left it charge with the official charger all the night, but then I couldn't turn it off.

When I opened it to unplug the battery I realised the screen was not correctly plugged, I believe it was showing random stuff while I thought it was showing the charging icon.
But when I tried to plug it correctly, I discovered the genius that opened it managed to bend some pins on the connector

I will try to straighten them up, at worst I found it on Aliexpress for $2.5.
If the Switch doesn't try to detect the screen and the touchscreen during its boot sequence, I should be able to use it with the dock if I remove this connector right?

Small update: I did my best to straight the screen connector pins back, 2 or 3 are still bent.
Now I have a solid blue screen when I power it on normally. Its serial is "possibly patched", fusee-launcher was able to send hekate but it gives me a black screen with no backlight.

Should I change the screen connector or this Switch is dead?

Any News ? I have the exact same problem...
