Trucha Signer 0.2 ([email protected])

This program let you extracts files, replace files, and
insert a "trucha signature" in a Wii disc partition, the
source data could be an ISO image or just be read straight
from a DVD drive (backup copies).

This program requieres the "common key" available in a
Keyset in the window registry (use the example Keyset
provide as a template and add keys on it).

Credits goes to the original team that show this hack in
the 24th Chaos Communication Congress: bushing, segher and
tmbinc.

Also thanks goes to marcan and nuke for the help and
support.

And the fucks goes to knobhead kids trolling around on IRC.

TODO:
-bugfix it
-add support for LG GDR drives (for read original medias)
-enable whole partition data replace
-verify TMDs and Tickets from the cert chain
-sign discs using custom private keys
-WAD support
-VC games/Channels support

Modify and Resign an iso.

Signing on a iso or a file is like a locker it only works if the code is right.
If anything inside the iso is changed the sign is invalid and the Wii wont let you start the disc.

But this tool can put on a new sign so that the Wii believes a modyfied Wii disc is valid and let you run it!

Does this mean homebrew can be put on a DVD, get signed and run that way and the Zelda exploit is not required for it?

Well, I can extract files with this (even from a backup disc in a DVD-drive without copying the ISO to HDD first!), but that's all. I guess we'd need the other keys?
