Hacking Triple-button menu screen

So with some flashcart firmwares such as R4 and DSTT-Advance, their firmware has 3 buttons on the main screen:
1) Game list
2) Moonshell
3) GBA Mode

Now I'm currently using DSTT firmware 1.17a02 which is based off the original DSTT firmware, which the main menu is just the games list.
Is there any way I can get that triple-button menu screen like on the DSTT-Adv/R4?

I could use the DSTT-Adv firmware but I doubt that is being updated anymore.

Maybe if you eat more korn flakes you will have the power to make the three buttons.....

I guess maybe your going to have to wait fro an officail or unnoficial firmware to come out.
