ROM Hack trimming a ROM and using another save file?

I was wondering if the saves would still work after trimming the rom up?

I have some games I didn't trim, but would like to now, but they have save files. Will they be affected at all? Can I still use them?

Trimming just removes unused padding in the ROM. It shouldn't affect any real code, so the loading/saving logic will be unmodified.
