Hacking Trimmed rom on SKY3DS

Hi,

I just got a Sky3DS. I'm trying to configure it and it is going well.

The only issue I encountered so far is trying to play a game containing a firmware update for my 3DS. I don't want to update just yet unless it can't be avoided.

I tried removing the update from the rom but because of that, diskwriter didn't want to add the game because of the trim (no data resource in the template file)

I forced it by removing the update with rom_tool and untrimming with 3DSexplorer but that just gave a "this game card connot be used" error.

Anyone know what to do or should I just update?
