ROM Hack Translation Question

Sorry, this is a bit of a noob question. How do you make your own translation patches for the DS? It's not too much of a problem for me to do the coding; I just need help getting started to find out how to edit the text. The translation isn't that big of a job either.

ChrisMims, do you expect the table will automatically translate the characters? If translating is that easy, I wouldn't have spent 10 hours a day for weeks.

Like Noitora said, read all the documents in the site first, then start collecting some tools. Next, you can start working (try to understand the rom first, each games have different situation). Don't expect to be a sudden rom hacker, learn step by step, a rom hacker must have patience.
