Homebrew Transfering CFW Data?

So I've had this o3DS 2 years now and Im thinking of buying a n3ds xl since its better in any way. Is there any possible way to transfer all my data (game saves, games, apps) and stuff to a new 3ds? Do i have to reinstall cfw on the other one? Thanks

Yea. Assuming you want CFW on your new device, you need to first completely install Luma on the new one using 3ds.hacks.guide. Then, use JKSV to back up any saves, etc. you wish to keep from the old one. Lastly, you need to dump any non-legitimate titles to your SD card using gm9 so they're not lost in the transfer. Now, you should be able to complete the transfer, re-install the games, and restore the saves. It's a tedious process, as a fair warning.
