is this gonna be hard? IVe done like 20 installs but i got a chip today that was DOA. I tried pulling it off and lifted 3 pads.

What wires best for this? I got 30AWG from radioshack but it isnt rubber insulated, its like tinny?

Is this bad? If so, what should I get? Im waiting on my new chip I Wanna be ready...

is it coated?? The best stuff for the job is the wire used to wind electric motors (Magnet wire/ Winding wire) it's coated with a thin layer of polyester you just have to scrape it off the end with a sharp blade and tin the end.

30AWG is pretty thin so should be ok only way to really know is by eye you could go as far as 38AWG if the tracks are really thin it just gets alot more fiddily

You lifted three pads? And you've installed 20+? Pics?

I had a bad chip a guy brought me from eBay. There was no reason to unsolder it from the board, only the chip.

What wattage are you using for your iron? I'm guessing 30...?
