Total newbie here

Hello,

As the title says I am a total newbie to this modding game.

I thought it would be nice to get a modded Wii, but the guy a got it from sold me a Wii that the drive throws an error and has none of the games I wanted.
I contacted the guy and he says any modded Wii the drive does not work

I guess I should have done more research, but the fact is, it is time for me to see if I can salvage this Wii and get the games I want.

I have watched YouTube video's on Modding the Wii and all I come out with is more questions and more scared of doing anything to try and fix what I have.

I NEED HELP, and WOULD APPRECEATE ADVICE.

THAT IS A BIG LIE!

Softmodding a Wii does not render the drive useless. How would we back up our games if the drive stopped working on a modded Wii? Post your problems and questions in a new thread in the Wii hacking section or reply to the Wii NOOB PARADISE thread. Two good ways of easily softmodding a Wii are ModMii and Wii.guide and not some random videos.
