The 3DSXL has a slightly larger cartridge slot,(Around a Millimeter wider than the 3DS/DSLite slot.)
Therefore the DSTwo has contact issues, It isn't noticeable on regular (3)DS cards because of the plastic casing being made using a firmer plastic while the DStwo has cheap easilly bent casing...
To fix contact issues follow the guide HERE The only differences are you need to make a cutout with a hole in the TOP LEFT Corner instead of the MIDDLE. and that you are doing it on a DSTwo instead of a AceKard 2i
