Awesome work there! This is really great to see! I'm also writing all my loader frontends such that anyone should be able to use them as they will in their projects. So I'll check Cooliris off my list.

i have an idea. i would like to see a configurable title. let say we can put as many game title we want (including cover) but not an actual game in wbfs partition. so if we load the title the error message said something like "please install game or game not in drive, etc"... it would be great.

seeing only 3 or 4 game title in the menu look so empty.

OMG !!

you seriously need to talk with the guys of usbloader GX ^^
this is the perfect coverflow i'd like to see in this perfect usb loader

+1 PLEASE consider joining up with them I couldn't imagine anything sweeter.

hello again, and many thanks for the nice comments! i have done a bit more work, and now i am ready to upload a small preview of "titlemenu". :} here it is:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/gxgqb9

there is still no loader code in this preview. it is mostly for those who are curious about the look and feel of the program. please play with the controls and discover them for yourself. :}

issues that i want to fix before first release:

1. very large amount of covers on-screen cause slow-down
2. the home button exits also when box is zoomed
3. boring default cover before real cover loads
4. not possible yet to grab-drag-release box when zoomed

i will try to answer some questions/comments:

q: Can it support spinning the case around and showing the back cover and possibly a spinning disc. (buckely)
a: yes, there is inherent support for full box cover, but for now spinning is strictly 180 by pressing 1

q: Maybe you can try to add 3D discart thingies? (tj_cool)
a: maybe in the future, but for now i want to focus on making it fun to use and look at with just the boxes!

q: have the ring, or whatever it's called - the wall of background covers - wobble a bit (pepperoni)
a: i will try to prototype this after first release, but i am a little worried that the screen may become too "busy"

q: as long as the backgrounds not black... (beegee7730)
a: the video is a little dark, but the actual background is not pure black :}

q: You just have to find/make a better cursor. (Hibern)
a: the cursor in the video had a small rendering error, it looks right now! :} my bamse

I didnt read all the posts but I think that this would be a really cool Picture viewer.. but the boxes are in the wrong deminsions for photos.. then a zoom feature or wrap the image to full screen would be sweet.

Very nice and smooth.. Keep it up.

wow this is awesome and yes Very Cooliris which is amazing also, someone link this to uloader by hermes so that it will have usb peripheral compatibility also !
