Hacking Suggestion Title Selector homebrew for LayeredFS

Imagine something where you could dump all your decrypted games/titles in a folder on the SD card, and then had a homebrew app that let you select the base title to replace, and then select one of your decrypted games on the SD card, and the app did all the work editing the titleIDs and whatever. After which you simply press the home button and fire up the game.

Is this something that could be created? One of the obvious conveniences with this idea is that you wouldnt have to do any work on your PC, and also this would allow you to use one title from your home screen, with multiple decrypted games you have on your SD card.

This method for "backup" loading isn't going to last long. Nice idea for a piracy app, but I doubt any actual developer will want to use this method as it requires the sharing of a Nintendo kernel.

Something more legitimate will come when SX OS is reversed.

That's true I suppose, they could create an homebrew like loadiine for Wii U, or even better an xci installer with tickets and a cfw with sig checks patched

well if these "hackers" are actively working on this convoluted way to play backups with this method, i wonder why they don't take their 15 minutes to make a better backup loader. Probably because people tend to talk as everything is easy, but talking and acting are differente things, and make a good backup loader is not that easy as someone says.

The fact is that hackers are not actively working on a way to play backups (unless reisyukaku is working on mememenu)
But they're doing something more difficult, for example atmosphere

Yep, that's why i said "hackers", people pretended that every guy with a basic programming knowledge could program a backup loader, while we've seen yesterday how things really work.



As you said, maybe only rei is actively working on something, while real hackers are working on atmosphere. So, basically making a backup loader is not something as easy as someone believes.
