but do i have input my IP Adress and Gateway Manually?

Yes, the system won't allow you to manually insert a dns if you choose auto i think. Your ip address and gateway isn't what supposed to improve connections, is the DNS and MTU part that is supposed to do it. But according to the guides, you can't set the DNS unless you manually insert the other info.

i have to look at my settings in a sec. and see what it says.

yes it's telling me to input the IP address settings auto or manual or PPPoE.
