Gaming Tips for Ness (SSBB)

Hey tempers,
Finally mained Kirby and toon link(I use Kirb more thhough). Anyway, Im starting to learn of maining Ness.
So any tips and faqs, any help is highly appreaciated.Thnx in advance.
P.s.:Im maining him because my friend likes lucas a lot, so I wanted to show him which retro character kicks ass best

And Ness?
I've found picking Lucas up is better and easier to use.

You just need to practice a lot with Ness.
His powers are kinda weak unless you've mastered them

He's not that weak actually. His neutral special does lots of damage and knockback. Only negative thing about him is how easily he can be edge hogged, but so can lucas.

Ugh...Ness never was a good character. My main has been Mario on Melee for a few years, and I find that he's still as good in Brawl. Ness has some good aerials and his f-smash (bat) is wonderful, but that's about it. He's slow, his attacks have a lot of lag, and his recovery is shoddy. I wouldn't recommend him.

Lucas is better imo
his attacks may be slow, but they are strong. And using tactics with ice moves really kicks ass.
Usually wen my opponent is recovering, i just freeze him and its over, unless he taps the controller till it breaks

but lucas's twig (f-smash) makes me angry. it really sucks. However, his U-smash (the one where he charges and releases the ice thing out of his head (looks consitpated)) that attack really kills.

With ness, just stick to getting a good batting average, homeruns, pk fire ur opponent like crazy, then pk crush occasionally.
my strategy:
get the opponent to a high percentage.
get them caught in a pk fire
charge up ur bat, while theyr in the fire
hit it out of the park
