After years of limbo (no, not the playdead one), word finally leaked out last month that not only is Timesplitters alive and well, but that an offical announcement on it is due soon. We'd guesstimate that it'll get a E3 reveal treatment and then hit store shelves in about a year's time

According to this magazine, TimeSplitters 4 is in development and should be announced at E3. How true this claim is has yet to be found out.
I genuinely hope this is true, but I've been dissapointed multiple times throughout the year regarding TimeSplitters 4; I really can't help but feel sceptical.

Funny... suddenly two "news"/"rumors" of two games that were in development by the same studio show up...
That's actually what made me post this topic; when I saw the battlefront topic, I remembered that Free Radical developed that too (Or should I say, were developing), which reminded me to post this.

I rather not see a TS4, don't get me wrong im a huge fucking fan of the TS series, I have both TS2 and TS future perfect on my gamecube, but I fear they might put in stupid popular shit like regenerating health.

Although it's possible, it seems unlikely to be honest; it wouldn't really be a TS game with regenerating health, or things like being limited to 2 weapons. I'd hate to see TS turn into some sort of war shooter.

I wouldn't be surprised...

I want to believe, but this isn't the first time someone has said Timesplitters 4 is in development; it didn't pan out then, so the odds aren't looking too good.

If they aren't making Timesplitters 4: Time to Split (please let that be the subtitle), can they at least let me play Future Perfect on the 360 (with Live-enabled mutliplayer, perhaps)? Seriously, I would give them all my money just for that.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
