Hacking Time for update?

I've been avoiding update my console for almost a year now, following the scene advice, waiting for jailbreak.

At this point I just feel I have a PS4 I can't enjoy, and with the new Uncharted here, it's killing me not to play it.

What do ou guys think, the fruits of being patient are anywhere near of being collected, or should I just go for it at this point?

if you really want the hack (if there really any hack)
then you should buy another PS4 for games,or just update your current PS4.

it's really not worth it,you can get so many games with plus and discounts,i really don't think you can play them all (i am looking at my PS3 backlog that i may never touch again)

You'd notice that loads of members are sitting on the latest firmware primarily because of all the sooning along with the fact that it seems that qwertyoruiopz is a social media whore with little to no intention of ever delivering his exploit to the masses but ultimately it comes down to you and what you want to do. A lot of people have bought and stashed consoles on old firmware for just such a promised day and given how hard its got to find low fw machines it may be worth considering just keeping your old one offline and buying a new one to update.

If your old machine is 1.76 then resale at any point to clear your funds shouldn't be an issue plus if you look around you can buy 2nd hand PS4s quite cheap now.

Or you could just update and use your machine for the reason it was intended. Your call.

I'm in the same boat. I bought two pros at release following the "scene" advice... I have another og ps4 on 4.07. My intention was to update one pro and hack the other, but I haven't opened either because it's always felt like the exploit was around the corner from different sources along the way. But now the exploits feel further away than ever and I think it's time to update one of them.

I last updated for Persona 5 and likely will again next time I buy a newer game. Generally, I've been waiting games out since they inevitably go down to $30 or even $20 within a few months of release.

Crazy thing is loads of ps4 games are really affordable. I rarely pay over £20 2nd hand and often can scoop two good games for that so piracy is way down the list for me.

Being able to update my games, emulators and homebrew is where it's at. One of these days!

Updated my ps4 yesterday to download and play the dissdia final fantasy nt beta, is pretty good, i swear.

I rather update than wait for unconfirmed hacks. Don't buy consoles to just have them sitting around unplayed, is a injustice to pay the ridiculous price of it and keep it in a box.

If a hack comes along, just hope you lucky enough and be don't regret updating cause of exploits. If you want mods, just buy a system with already existing ones or a pc to mod games with.
