Gaming 'This software requires an update to run'

I am using an animal crossing game cart in a different console originally. It's now asking me for an 'update' but it's not coming up with any message asking me to update? What do i do? I have confirmed I'm on the latest firmware

No it's not modded atm. Its on 11.14.-04E or whatever it was

It did, I had an O2DS and now I have an O3DS but it's doing this. It was up to date on my O2DS

It's working now idk.
I have a new problem though but it's not as big. This happened to me on my old 2ds aswell but the able sisters are saying my pockets are full when they're not.
