Hi,

I thinking of getting a new flashcard (currently have an R4) and have a few questions regarding the EZ5 I hope you guys can help with.

Firstly, the resetsp.bin thing confuses me. With my R4 when a new rom comes out I just drop it into the cart and play away. Can you still do this with the EZ5 or do you need to wait for the EZ Team to release a new resetsp.bin?

Second, is the EZ5 still using moonshell as its primary menu system or have the team written there own gui now?

Thirdly, would you recommend it over, say an acekard2?

I think thats all for now

Thanks

Nic

You just drop the rom to the cart. Resetsp is only used if you want to use extended features, like 4-button reset, cheats (?) etc. I have never updated it, since I don't use them

I believe they use moonshell - but I don't know for sure if they have chnaged something. For me - it shows rom list, it allows launching roms - what else?

As for me, I've chosen EZ5 for its price for the EZ5 + EZ3-in-1 bundle. If not EZ3-in-1, then EZ5 is just on of many...

Thanks for the quick reply! It sounds good, just can't decided between it and the Acekard. Had an EZ3 years ago and that was great so probably leaning towards the EZ5

Well, the AceKard 2 is a really good, stable, cheap cart, and AKAIO makes it that much better. The EZ-Flash V GBA support isn't that impressive anymore; AKAIO 1.3 can use the 3in1 just as well.
