I decided to install BS9 on my old 3DS XL, and was following this guide https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(mset)

After adding the files to my SD card, my 3ds wont boot. ive tried booting it with a different sd card, without any sd card, and each time its stuck on a black screen. ive tried redownloading the necessarily files, reformatting the sd card, and still nothing.

This is going to sound stupid, but are you sure EVERYTHING is setup correctly?

When I was upgrading b9s I had an error caused by a small typo in the folder name.

i have and no success :/

at this point what should i look to get as a suitable replacement to work with homebrew?
I think your first step is to find out what happened and how so you can either fix it or prevent it from happening again. Are your indicator lights coming on when you power your 3DS on?

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
