While my friends TG16xCD collection deserved its own thread I did have stuff I located in the last week, and a few more goodies this go around too.

Last weekends image got me that new (for $20) the Enterprise(batteries still work which is concerning) and a good bit of manga all nicely discounted even that full set of Petshop of Horros which is wonderful. The older standing the 2 on the right I straight up got to sell to recoup my costs of the rest, not going to sugar coat that, and the PS1 games for a friend of mine.

The following late week-weekend was amazing to me at least. Found 4 more TG games, the 2 cards were $50, Ys was massively down on a closing flea for $50(vs $200~), and Shadow was in a round about way 80 (started at 100, books like 130) because I had grabbed some steeply discounted N64 stuff I instantly turned to cut Shadow of the Beasts cost. The guncon was 10, the anime sets were moderately to solidly off market price too, and the trackball was just a thrift find for a couple bucks as I'll always grab them when If ind them as I like to use them and they tend to cost a lot more than a mouse. I grabbed the gloveball cart because of the glove I got recently it was 5 so I was happy with that.

Next time I do an image as it need sto come in, I did some reproduction (2 ea) HuCards for 2 stupid expensive TG games and 2 mastered burn completes for TG-CDs too, and some legit stuff on the way.

I don't usually buy things from Temu, but I was looking for some wall-mounted controller holders to put in my walk-in PC gaming closet and found some that I liked. Of course, Temu has a shipping minimum, so I was checking out model kits and saw one from SNAA called Rampage Lion - Bedivere and ordered it as well. I wasn't planning on ordering any more model kits because by now I probably have over 100 in my backlog, but I figured I might as well order something that I would like. I haven't built much because I am currently building and painting an HG Gunpla kit and haven't had much time to do that right now.

Two GTX 560 TI which had to be refunded because BOTH cards didn't work at all. One artefacts and the other outputs a black screen.
Now I have a GTX 560 non Ti coming in tomorrow and I'm crossing every fingers and toes and praying that one works, because I don't care that they're 16 year old cards, I need a 1GB GPU specifically for my XP/Vista build because some games I want to play loses their shit with GPU's that have more than 1GB of VRAM.

Finally I have a working GTX 560 in my XP/Vista build. Pretty sure the GPU's bottlenecked but its mostly to play games that refuses to play nice with more than 1GB of VRAM.

Switch (I was pretty sure I would never get a decent offer on unpatched v1), four Joy-Cons with Gulikit sticks (and two extra gulikit spares!), carrying case, power brick, dock and Pokemon Sword cart

Already modded to 19.0.1 Emu and 22.5.0 Sys, Sys waiting mostly for Hekate update to get 23.0.0 rolling on that side. 19.x.x is really the max firmware I probably ever need for the games I play.

Kinda considering, once again time permitting, forking Atmo, cherry picking the improvement patches after 18.0.0, but removing the memory allocation "downgrades". Probably won't ever get there, but one can dream

And of course, once again stuff done on piecemeal basis, no Haphazardly Assembled Turbid S**t involved

I went to the pet expo today and got 2 packs of gecko food for my friend, 8 adult mice for my corn snake, 10 fuzzy mice for my Honduran milk snake, some lids for my fruit fly cultures, a new culture of larger fruit flies for my dart frogs, and an Oh Henry! butter tart. I also got two gift bags with some sample cat food and dog treats, a Freddy Krueger tumbler, and a desert hairy scorpion. Oh, and I bought beef jerky from the meat and cheese vendor who sometimes shows up. I kept the sample cat food for my cat and gave both of my neighbors who have dogs a sample bag of the food and two retail-size bags of dog treats.

I didn't really buy much this time and wasn't planning on going, but I wanted to buy the mice for my snakes because they are cheaper at the expo and to spend time with my nephew.

N64 had a disk drive... More like a floppy disk than a disc, so you might be right. I don't remember any other.

There was the 16bit PlayStation-SNES, but that wasn't ever fully realized.

Yeah, what @Marc_LFD said. And I think they were only released in Japan, but there were even a couple official cartridge releases on Saturn (and everything else disc). I don't mean the ram expansion carts or the memory card for save storage. Actual retail games on carts.

I have those ram and memory carts, real Sega OEM ones. There's a pic I uploaded of them in the retro consoles group photo area. But I won't need them anymore with the Saroo.

I don't really even need the Saroo -- my Saturn has a mod chip that I installed over 25 years ago, still works like a charm. I bought it from a site called racketboy, still exists but it's just a retrogaming info site now, no shop. But the Saroo has quicker load times, return to menu hotkey, permanent saving that isn't dependent on the coin battery, stuff like that.

Actually no! Before the Saturn, Sega as we all know had the Mega Drive/Genesis which had all of those attachments, including the Sega CD...

But like a year before the Saturn came out they did end up releasing a combined Mega Drive/Genesis+Sega CD call the Sega Multi-Mega/Genesis CDX. CD and cartridge based system, that also had the ability to play audio CDs on the go with a slot for 2x AA batteries (for like an hour or two at best ).

Beyond that, if you don't include addons like the Famicom Disk System, Sega CD, 64DD, etc etc then I think the Saturn and Genesis CDX are pretty much the only two around.

That super compact console was really cool, but the abomination they made to keep the Genesis alive was just disrespectful to the console itself. Too many damn cables, attach it from nearly all sides... Ugh, Sega shouldn't have done that.

They didn't have much of a choice cable wise as the 32x uses the MD's VDP (GPU) for some of the graphics and trying to output via the VDP would limit the system e.g. reduced colours.

On the model 1 you also had to use the front headphones jack for stereo sound unless you mod the system.

I say that, the 32x was a mistake in the first place but for different reasons.
