That would be the 8GB model of the Wii U. I would highly recommend that, if you modify it, backup the eMMC in the event that it suddenly dies, as the sad truth, is that, it has happened to many consoles.
So far I just cleaned everything with warm water and dish soap, the main board was cleaned using Isopropyl alcohol and teeth brush. tomorrow will test everything and the weekend will do my magic of retrobrite .
I had an SNES. I gave it to a friend (along with, let's see... Mortal Kombat 2, Super Metroid, Out of This World, Earthworm Jim, R-Type, StarFox and a few I'm forgetting) not long after I got my PlayStation and acquired a small library of games. Stupid, stupid, stupid move.
Reminds me of that little kid in the 1979 horror film PROPHECY who got bitch-slapped right into a rock the size of station wagon. All those feathers...
27" Acer monitor as a temp solution for my blown 49" TV - and for $109 it surprisingly does the job well, albeit now being 2/3th closer to ruining my eyesight. Will be a solid 2nd mon for when I fix up the TV/travel solution.
Bought Maneater and Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition during the Steam Winter Sale. I bought a roll of low-adhesion hobby 10mm masking tape, 2 packs of 30 Olfa replacement blades, a bottle of Tamiya X-16 and X-32 enamel paint, 2 bottles of silver, a sky blue bottle of Gaianotes Surfacer Evo, a bottle of Gaianotes Premium Red, a bottle of Ultra Marine Blue, a bottle of Gaia Primary Color Green, and a Gaia Prism Pastel Mint Green Blue from the online hobby store I usually order paints from. They had their own mystery box, so I ordered one from them.
Unfortunately, the courier they shipped my order with went under and didn't tell them right after they picked up my order, so they have to reship it to me.
I also ordered some random hobby tools I wanted/needed, some 10 ft USB cables, and a USB cable tester from Temu/AliExpress.
For some reason, I'm fine with you referring to the Japanese game as All-Stars, but am absolutely insistent that you call the Japanese console a Super Famicom
Got Octopath 0 for 40€ on the 26th second due to boxing day sales and Metroid Prime 4 for 35€ on the 2nd of January due to new year sales. Both for the switch 2.
For some reason, I'm fine with you referring to the Japanese game as All-Stars, but am absolutely insistent that you call the Japanese console a Super Famicom
Sorry, you are completely right, the official name:
In Japan, it is called the Super Famicom (SFC). Japanese: スーパーファミコン, Hepburn: Sūpā Famikon; officially adopting the abbreviated name of its predecessor, the Famicom
Oh, I'm gonna. I was just kidding about eBay. This white A3D is joining my black Super NT. My old N64 will be retired to storage, so this is one less console on my shelves that needs an upscaler. Really the only console I regularly use now with the upscaler is the Saturn - if I really want to play a PS1 game I have the Vita. So that means no more scart switchbox!
I'm gonna end up completely reorganizing my game shelves because of this.
My non-existent accountant is really going to hate me.
Since my TV has decided it wants to give itself permanent 'scanlines' again and due to my concerns that AI may jack up TV prices because of all their 'smart' crap I ignore and I have a family member who can give me staff discount.
I fell in love with OLED when I saw a display model the last time my tv started playing up and at £680 I figured 'f*** it, I've spent this much already'.

That is freakin' sweet! And I know that LG is a fantastic brand without breaking the bank. I still have my plasmas. One 46", the other 50", both are Panasonic. Great picture, but I've been looking to upgrade for a while now. Getting ahead of that AI bit is a good idea. I was looking at some TV's at Walmart the other day and like ALL THREE of the ones I was interested in have that AI stuff. I don't know what it means, but I wouldn't want to pay for it. Just got a new membership @ Costco, I know they have great TV's for dirt cheap and a really good return policy.
I have two. A black/grey Japanese model, and a (U) purple Funtastic w/matching controller. Not much of a game catalog though, cuz I didn't get into N64 until years after it was already dead. I've got 5 original games, and an ED64 2.5. I'm gonna get as much use out of what I have for the next few months and wait to see if a 'jailbreak' firmware gets released, and if that doesn't happen then I'll get a Summercart mid-year for my birthday.
