I'm not entirely sure if this is possible on the Switch yet, but is there any way to undub the Switch version of The World Ends With You?

Not everyone is from english-speaking countries, so don't think that english is superior to other languages.
Especially in dubbings for japanese games, where english dub in most cases is mediocre or worse (only Nintendo, Square Enix and Sony's games can make decent dub).
And fan translation is kinda buggy. Implementing audio should be easier than implementing english text to japanese engine.

yes, there is an english patch for that version, however the game may become a bit buggy.

There was an english patch within 24 hrs of the japanese release. However at the time, it did not have translations for the new content. Not sure if that has changed.

I don’t suppose you could link the thread to that patch? All I am finding is old DS patches

Ok, i tried it on my own. Only pre-rendered cutscenes can get japanese audio. In-game is not possible because in JAP and EUR are english and japanese voices in one assets file, so swapping them do nothing. And it can't be extracted. I can upload videos for layeredfs, but almost all of this videos don't have english subs.
