Certainly would have given PSP vita some competition

To be fair it's already got competition from the PS3+PSV connectivity combo.

How good is the PSV-PS3 connectivity going to be? Is it going to be another NDS-Wii (hyped up but nothing comes of it) type affair? I like the idea of the WiiU, I think a dedicated gaming tablet would have just caused more outrage as it would be seen as a gimmick that Apple have cornered the market on already. I quite like the WiiU being a giant HD DS in your home

well one game dragons crown i believe you are able to play with ps3 players. vita is powerful enough to interact with ps3 in meaningful ways, ds didn't have the hardware to do it with the wii really.


im interested how they said the could stream console games to the controllers screen, if there is unnoticeable button lag this would make the wii-u a must have for me. portable (as long as your near the base) console games sounds amazing.

The 3DS has a bad enough battery. I'm glad they took this path.

I don't know. I'd really say Console ? Handheld. They both do different things better, and games that suit one don't necessarily suit the other at all.

The Wii U being a portable would have defeated the purpose of releasing the 3DS in the first place, as the 3DS was just barely released this year.
