hey can someone help me?
i downloaded the newest user.evocheats
when i load the pokemon platinum (U) its all ok
but when i try to start the game it goes back to the title screen
and all cheats are turned off. o.o
oh yeah and after i downloaded the user.evocheats onto my microsd
i saw some weird programs (most likely viruses) and i tried to scan them
but my comp always restarts (fishy)
can't delete them either... they are somewhat translucent (the comp cant verify the location)
any help would be helpful?? lol

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with it?

Well I can't fix the problem so I just went back to the R4 Firmware and Use the R4CCE as the program for the usrcheat data

i'm having odd problems...
all games seem to have working cheats...
then i look at all the pokemon game cheats.... and they're gone..... not only does the Platinum (U) cheats don't show... but now all the Pokemon RPG cheats have stopped showing
sorry for sounding noobish... as i am a noob when it comes to this stuff

oh and i am using an R4 Revolution (clone) with the current firmware (1.18)

Read the First Page, it tells you how to sort that out.

If they are virus's on your computer simply Reboot it in Safe mode and then run your Virus Checker. IF you don't have one then shame on you, but I suggest AVG's Free Anti-Virus, However the programs could just be Mal ware so Try Spy-Bot Seek and Destroy.

Dunno about the Evo Cheats, I only have an R4 with YSMenu

You don't get it. I have the urscheat.dat its perfect and fine the problem is the R4 firmware doesn't work with all firmware, so that means I can't see the cheats like the Pokemon Platinum ones. I got YSMenu so I can see them.

Hmm, NiNJUH I'm not sure why your YSMenu isn't however it sounds like there was an Error with the creation process if none of your games are working.

So your best bet is to either go back to the Basic R4 [ugh] and clean out the useless codes in the Cheat DB or to Redo the YSMenu patching, becuase I know it works since I have it and all of my games work, although that doesn't help you sadly.

I don't really understand but if you mean the naming concept, it's still works. I've already try it with only the converted files (using game's id as the file names) on my cheat folder on my Micro SD and the cheats still appear. Same case when I tried it with only jmr's concept (using release number as the file names).
You only have to update your ndsinfo.dat using a program. just download it from blastar @ scdev and you can make our own ndsinfo (I woan't post the link here as it was on other forums).

my converted rar was converted from USRCHEAT.dat so AFAIK everything was included. why I'm using USRCHEAT is because I can't convert from CHEAT.dat. the programs...

I meant the file names, as in the games id vs the release number as the file name. But you clarified that for me.

I noticed someone possted a cheat for Puzzle Quest Galacrix and the GameID was: CPQE D4B759BD. I noticed in the update the following was used:

Puzzle Quest Galactrix (E/U) {ABCJ 12345678}


Maybe that is a real GameID - it just seemed too neat as such if you know what I mean....

Does this mean we have to modify the cheat file ourselves to place in the one mentioned above? Also, in future updates does this also mean we will have to keep modifying accordingly?

Regarding the GTA Chinawars codes:

I'm playing the US version of the game and I've noticed that the ammo codes do not work, and I've yet seen the garage codes work either.

Has anyone gotten them to work?

If not can we get them deleted. I noticed the English version of the GTA game has a code that works on all weapons for infinite ammo ... I dont have the english version of the game (it still crashes), but having that code on the US version would be nice I think.

anyway for the ndsinfo.dat i guess you have to go to scdev and download it from blastar's topic as he was the one created the ndsinfo editor program. I don't have the right to redistribute it here..

as jmr busy with his real life stuff, you have to update your ndsinfo by your self. look advascnene.com or ds-scene for the save size..

I don't have an updated ndsinfo myself. just update it when I feel like for a few games I want such as suikoden and valkyrie profile. I don't play pokemon so my ndsinfo doesn't contain them. don't ask for my ndsinfo then.
