Well, no offence to anyone but gay's aren't as publicly accepted as straight persons are. So in my eyes, someone who has the courage to get out of the closet, deserves more respect (and beleive me, I know a lot of gay people who are "stuck" in the closet because they are afraid what the rest will think, do and such)

Myeh, we're not in the 1960'ties anymore, unless someone lives in a backwards country like the ones in middle-east or 45% of America or "The Bad parts of Europe" then being gay is not really "cool and brave" anymore. Who cares about other people's bedroom buisness, seriously? It's already accepted by the majority, give it 10-20 more years (aka, give the hillbillies time so that the unevitable death by means of Darwin arrives at their doorstep. I mean, accidents happen, mostly to dumb people) and it'll be socially accepted in all the developed countries.
