Honestly the dumper looks like you need to connect it to a raspberry pi
Was thinking that also, has the same header pin layout. Wonder if it is a Linux version dumper.Honestly the dumper looks like you need to connect it to a raspberry pi
@UnlockSwitch
Clarification About “OpenMig"
We didn’t fully understand why so many of you reacted negatively to the creation of an external team. Originally, the goal was to separate UnlockSwitch from all files and focus exclusively on our own products for legal reasons. In hindsight, this was clearly a bad idea.
Unfortunately, we let in someone with bad intentions—someone deceitful who gained our trust. Naively, we shared a few files with them to prove what we had, and that information ended up online. Whether you call it theft, data leakage, or outright betrayal, the result is the same.
That’s behind us now—next.
Yes, we created this team name specifically for handling firmware releases, and for no other reason. Not to sell hardware—only to release firmware.
Anyone seeing a scam or fake in this must have a twisted mindset because nothing was monetized. Just a simple .xxx file.
And NO, “OpenMig ” was never a fake project. It was a legitimate initiative meant to distribute firmware to beta testers first. Unfortunately, the chaos caused by this individual forced us to adjust our launch strategy.
To be clear once again, the initial UnlockSwitch project is far from over. Just yesterday, we even shared a few lines of code for those motivated enough—proof that work is still being done.
Until proven otherwise, we haven’t sold a single piece of UnlockSwitch hardware, haven’t taken a single pre-order, haven’t charged anyone a cent. The only things we acknowledge are the delays and our silence—everything else is just speculation and frustration from certain people.
At the end of the day, whether we post a lot or say nothing at all, there will always be comments about it.
We apologize to those who felt misled or abandoned by the project—that was never the case. As for those with bad intentions, just move on. Thanks in advance.
We’ll share the updated “launching program “ in the next post.

@UnlockSwitch
Official Announcement Regarding “ The Team @OpenMig"
We came across a post that caught our attention.
We’re not sure who this team is. It could be a direct competitor messing with us, or it could be a completely separate group—anything is possible. After some private exchanges, they shared a significant portion of the code with us.
What we do know for certain is this: the lines of code shared are indeed correct.Their intentions are clear—they want to publish the files online. As we've always said, we’re not worried about competition, and our solution is open source.
Out of curiosity, we offered to send them a sample of the UnlockSwitch PBS and asked them to test their file on our product. We’ll see what happens.
We don’t have any more information about this team. We have no connection with them, either directly or indirectly. All we know is that the sample is supposed to be delivered to Russia.

My granda used to say: do not write checks with your mouth which your A** can not cash!If Unlockswitch read this
FFS just release the software for your God damn cards. 99% of people don't give a damn about your pitty drama for fuck sake... Your cards can be created by anyone with some cad knowledge and send it to pcbway.
Until you show actual working software, to example KiiWii, your cards and preaching doesn't mean jack. Put your money where your mouth is and deliver the software.
They're apparently hard at work on a third piece of hardware now... a Dev Kit. Now why would they want to specifically recruit developers for a game backup device? Almost like they can't RE the MiG fw and are stuck with a non-functioning product and people realize it.
Both UnlockSwitch and Xtractor will come pre-flashed with their firmware, including our custom programming interface.
FFS just release the software for your God damn cards.
Ah yes, this exchange totally gives the impression that this is the same group of people talking to... themselves?Grab your cocoa everyone, it's storytime
For those that are thinking "Wait, is that really all they did, create an external team? That's not really how I remember things playing out...", the pantomime continues.

The Unlock Team released a epistle about their last move!
@ScrambledEgg I think they are talking about you
https://x.com/UnlockSwitch/status/1893003796802084952
Haha cant you see that they are trolling us?
Unlockswitch dont want to deal with legal issues and have said that they will not publish firmwares them self.
Only provide hardware.
So convenient that there is ”another” team right now when the hardware is done that wants to publish a open source version of the MIG
And of course unlockswitch sends samples for them to try their firmware on.
Who wants to bet against me that it wont work 100%.
And of course they are from russia also(where Nintendo cant touch them)
If you think that this is 2 different teams then go back to the rest of the sheeps.
This is a cover story to protect their asses from Nintendo. A really bad one, they could have just released it anon.
OpenMig is their software team that are going to release firmware files….

Unlock is about to be even more upset in the coming days tooGood to see that this continues to be the dumbest saga.
