Another question. After installing Preloader, Menu Loader will no longer reboot the system menu or game ios. The app will just code dump. I've uninstalled Preloader and Menu Loader will then work again. Some where I read there is a name change to the system menu made with Preloader and Menu Loader does not see the change. Is there a fix or work around for this? Second what is the IOS Reloading in the Preloader hacks.ini creator do exactly?

If only we knew... i asume that it enables the Reboot-like function to boot games off the disc channel.
But i don't use this hack and nobody really answered my question about it.

I tried setting the IOS Reloading with v.28 and using the rebooter with gamma loader and menu loader. Neither would reboot, just code dump.

Yes, the game IOS and system menu IOS rebooters will not work with preloader. I was hoping IOS Reloading may fix this problem. I've done the install of preloader both with and without IOS Reloading and can not tell any difference.

it's just the way preloader works. it renames the system menu. so rebooters can't work that way.
so the applications with rebooters just have to be updated to work with preloader
especially for menupatcher that would be cool. then it can be used as preloader's autoboot

Ok, so I am currently setting up my hacks.ini file and have a question before I finish it. I have a modchip that allows region free gamecube and wii games, so which hacks do I not need to install? Are there any that I should avoid?

What you should avoid is:
1)Force Disc Region
2)Disc Area check.

Enabling others, including the region hacks does not do harm, none at all

Thanks to SilverSurfR who decyphered it, here's what it means:

IOS Reloading
------------------
Forces disc channel to load everything with cIOS249 (a patched version of ios36 that enables loading backups).
Doesn't work with cIOSCORP or games meant to run with ios36 like Rockband2 for instance, which requires IOS37.

AWESOME TUT !!!!

but I didn't understand what does Load/Install File do ? can someone help me ?

& if I did install a dol or something can I remove it later from the System-menu ?

Load/Install File let's you boot a file right after the Preloader loads and before the SystemMenu.
Basically, it's gonna be the 1st thing you gonna see when powering your Wii.
A good example is CrazyIntro which let you run a custom bootscreen with either
- a picture + sound (version 3)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsz2URT-q_s...feature=related

- a movie (version 3.1)
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=136729&st=0

And then boots either to SystemMenu (or press A), HB Channel (press B) or any channel you installed with the d-pad.
Of course, you can uninstall it whenever you want.

that isn't a problem , that's normal .
if you want to shut it down hold the POWER button until it's OFF

... I didnt think that would be good for the wii (i kinda thought of it as like a pc where u hold the power button for like 10 seconds and it turns off immedietly... i dont think thats good for my pc so i didnt think it would be god for my wii either... meh w/e. if everyone else is doing it without problems, i shouldnt have a problem with it i guess.)

thanks,
kk
