Hi! Any insight as to what the "EX MODE (press select)" does for Chrono Trigger DS?

I can't find any definition or explanation for this EX Mode anywhere, nor can I find a code description that sheds any more light than "Press Select".

It allows you to see all the extra features.

To use it go to Extras in the initial menu screen.

Then load your save. (Hold Select while choosing your save).

Hmm, I just spent an hour trying to get a code, and then trying to make it work. I got no result. I'm just trying to open these levels in Skate It DS so I don't have to bother with the difficult story mode. Thanks anyway.

Ninjatown Cheats are not working for me, i have an Acekard v2.1 and have tried using the cheats from cheats.dat and cheats.xml, and no luck.

Some cheats just don't work for some flash carts mate. I have a lot of these problems with my DSTT.

There is no infinite health code for Chrono Trigger?

The current max hp one is not persistent--getting hit will decrease the figure and there doesn't seem to be one that will maintain them.

Just found out a problem with one of the Chrono Trigger cheats:

The "Save Anywhere" cheat messes with your ability to switch party members. You can't change your party at all while it is enabled. If you disable it, you can change party members just fine.

Maybe a little glitch in the cheat that can be fixed? Because even without the cheat, while standing on a save point you can still change party members. So it's not normal behaviour, that switching party members gets disabled by allowing saving.

FYI: I'm playing on a DSTT, original firmware v1.15



P.S.: Would a language-code be possible? Since I'm from Germany my system settings are on German, thus not being recognized properly from the game. So by default it's in Japanese. Which results in Japanese menu-screens. Once the game runs I can switch to English just fine, but the menus stay Japanese (aka "New Game", "Load Game", etc.).

Cause I don't want 20 other games to change from German to English just for one game

Yea, had same problem with the Save Anywhere code.
Use this code instead:

021C01CC 80010000

It will also let you change your current party anywhere.
I'll see if I can do a quick language code for you.

P.S.: Just one thing I realized with the save-code from Killermech:
In areas where there's an actual save-point the save-option is now blinking and thus sometimes you have to tap it for a few times before it works, however if you step on the real save-point there's no issue whatsoever.
It's not bothering me and I'm happy with it. But I just wanted to say this as an information for anybody else who might consider using this version of the code.
