Is it possible for an R4 to just stop reading cheats? I've done everything in the first post/notice part of this thread, cut out games from the .DAT list, hell, I even just put one game in as a last hope of getting it to work, and nothing.

I'm just wondering... is it possible for it to stop reading cheats?

i doubt r4 will fail this badly

assume you did all the necessary thing and only 1 game in the .dat

why not use r4cce check the game id of the rom you wish to load and compare it to the one in the database ....see whether the id is it the same? if is the same.. should not be a problem (if there is only 1 game in your .dat)

if this doesn't work~! then hope someone else out there can help you~!

Somebody suggested that I post a link to my thread here. I'm currently "sprucing" up the GBA cheats collection and attempting to add new .CHT files passed the 2301 release. I've already begun by renaming all of the .CHT files and cleaning things up in general, but there are alot of files that still contain Japanese and Chinese characters and need to be opened up in something other than notepad and then translated properly. I only speak English so I can't really take this one on by myself (tried using online translators, what a joke those are, lol.) Also, if anyone can help me with locating AR cheats for GBA games passed the 2301 release that are for regions other than USA just let me know, I can use all the help I can get. Here's the thread, I'll try to keep it updated as often as possible and include a changelog:

first of all if you are windows XP user try install the IME language pack or get NJstar to view directly from notepad

not sure for Vista

"Time Never Decreases" Code

Should be relabeled as: "Stages Never Load" Code.
What is this, the third code in a row that doesn't actually do anything? Zubo codes, Away Shuffle Dungeon's "Hold R to Stop Time" code. I suppose consistency is consistency nonetheless.

Dont request codes.. maybe try finding some codes...

for the Valkyrie Profile -> remaining action point: 9

It freezes when u load the game, but then again, i am using EDGE, so idk if its the same case for the other flashcart

as for valkyrie profile~! please.. use the activator codes when you are in the game~!
and certain codes with activator don't activate it during the battle/menu depends on the nature~!
even my DSTT also having problem with certain codes~! i tried using the weapon codes during battle and end up it brings me to another battle stage and later it freezes the game

*all codes for valkyrie profile might not be compatible with certain flash cart (feedback from other users...all cheats are giving different flash cart different problem)

They match perfectly. Maybe it's just my R4 getting old? Had it for two years. Maybe this is what I get for cheating! Haha, I'm kidding. I'll just keep messing around with it, maybe I'll format my microSD card tomorrow and see if that helps.

On a side-note though: All you guys are pretty awesome for taking time out of your lives to make codes ( Free Codes at that ) for all of us fellow gamers. Rock on, dudes.
