Gaming The NEW massive CHEAT compilation thread.

Hey, can anyone point me in the right direction? I was adding some Action Replay Cheats to the cheat list I downloaded, and after I added some, and put it on my patched R4DS, no cheats showed for any game. The games showed before I modified it. I used both Yasu's R4cce with usrcheat.dat and Cheat.Dat, and also usrcheat.dat with R4DS's Cheat Code Editor.

One of the times I was testing, the cheats showed up, but none of the new ones I put in worked, only ones that were previously on it.

I tried going to the R4cce guide...but for some reason it won't open...does the site exist anymore?

Well I just wanted to know if there's a way to fix this...I'd really like to have some of my other Cheats on my R4DS.

I just used hasteds131 to look at No$GBA memory and found that Solo's stats are 0x0A18 before Ragnar's.
The others are 0x050C apart.

I hope you will add these and my Pokemon Diamond and Pearl TM's and HM's fix to a future release.

WelshLadGriff, there is various cheats that work other than wild battle codes, the max/infinite bits is a prime example

But if you have a region that is an "less common language" (e.g- French) it is less likely to have more cheats and accurate ones than the US game.

When I use my 'Backups', they are always US, Not any other region. But so far only the Wild Battles code works on my R4.

the skip guitar hero device thing on startup isnt working

This would be the case of whatever flash cart you are using NOT enabling codes RIGHT at startup. Since the game has been running long enough for it to detect the lack of the grip, it is too late by the time the code finally is applied.

The only recourse currently, is to patch your rom.

CODEAt offset 0x62BC, replace 0xA0, 0x0F, 0xA0, 0xE1, with 0x00, 0x00, 0xA0, 0xE3.
At offset 0x3ABB3, replace 0x18 with 0xE8.

Alternatively, you can download my IPS patch from http://ds.caitsith2.net/ghot.ips. (This is really only required when flash card of choice does not apply the codes right away.)

Use the controller code style of your choice.

Not going to happen. THe reason for that, is what happens when you need to hold both the Green and Yellow Fret, or the Red and Blue Fret at the same time? If you are using the D-Pad only, you WILL miss those notes, since in most normal cases, you CAN NOT press Left and Right, or Up and Down at the same time. (You could, but only if you modified your d-pad for that purpose.) Because of that, there will be unplayable songs with the suggested control schemes, and even more so, as you head into harder difficulties.

try to deplete the patient's HP, and it'll went right back up to 99

Good news for all of you who uses the CycloDS. I went through every game and removed the backlight codes for you. On the CycloDS, the backlight codes conflicted with the backlight control built into the CycloDS and caused it to either freeze or not work. Now with them gone, the CycloDS cheat file is now roughly 200-300kbs smaller. Also cleaned up some codes for other games as well for the other flashcards.

Exciting news folks! I added in some codes for Guitar hero that allows you to play the game without the grip without the need of a patch! Thats right, just take a clean dump of the game and enable the grip codes and you can play the game using just the normal buttons.

the new trauma center game codes, inf time works fine, but the inf HP doesn't work for some reason.

try to deplete the patient's HP, and it'll went right back up to 99
at least that what happens to mine

Problem is, that it ain't working if the vitals of your patient don't drop slowly but instead go downhill in one big whoop. (Massive amount of damage like in the X-chapters).

e.g.: Your patient has 30 vitals left, but gets a damage of 40. Your patient dies instantly without HP Recovery taking place.


So the cheat works fine if you deplete the vitals slowly, but it works not for "instant kills". Maybe an alternative cheat could help here. One that fixes the vitals on a specified number. So you could choose which one to use in which operation.

In the latest update (Cheats Update 7-06-08) cheats for 'Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2008 (U)' no longer show up.
They existed as of a week ago, were they taken out for a reason or by accident?

I've never seen any instant die when using the inf hp code, even if I keep slashing the patient with the scapel, the hp always replenish itself no matter what.

The first one (X-1, Kiriyaki) gives my patient instant kills if I don't keep his vitals high enough. Sometimes the inf HP works, if the vitals only drop low. But more often than not it doesn't work there.
