There were plenty of licensed games in the NES/SNES/Genesis days, but I feel like the PS2/GameCube/Xbox era had more games based on shows/movies/anime than any other gen.

Gameboy was the weirdest one for me, you guys had Shrek at the same time as the Xbox version??? The 2000's era did expand on world building a bit and there were some hidden gems like Toy Story 3 and Cars

I had to look that up, but I suppose a GameBoy Color release in 2001 isn't too strange, since the GBA came out the same year. That Frozen game on the DS was more surprising, since it came out a year or two after the 3DS.

Nah that wasn't even the last game, next year we had another DIsney Game on the DS, Gosh Damn Big Hero 6 . . .

Handhelds really go by funny rules sometimes. Some devs are saying that the Switch will continue to have content for the next few years. I can see that, since it has plenty of momentum and it's portable. Think of all the people that will inherit Switch's after the Switch 2 is released.
