On a more serious note, I've always wondered if there could be some form of brightness adjuster homebrew. Because playing in the dark even with lowest brightness setting, the two screens are as bright as the sun for my poor little retinas. I know there's a backlight control plug-in for NTR on GitHub but i am a dirty pirate and need my signature checks patch out

I've also wanted AdHoc file transfer between two 3DS's, because well, one of my 3DS's doesn't play nice with my router, nor does the MicroSD Management App for that matter.

I don't think that ad-hoc would be possible, because a service handles the wireless network, and that service is handled by the system.
But maybe that handling the brightness should be possible.

If i were to get any of the pokemon romhacks, would my save be wiped? if that IS the case, would there be any way to make a backup of said saves. Really dont want my X and Omega char's to be wiped :L

You can back them up with SVDT or whatever it's called, there's a number of save managers for *hax.

Is it possible to boot Pasta or rxTools 3DSX using hax 2.1 or 2.5 on a New 3DS with 9.0?

Brahma II, there's a rxTools 3DSX somewhere for 2.1, not sure about 2.5.
Look in the original HomeMenuHax thread.

Actually it might be in the newer builds of rxTools 3.0 too, not sure.

Is it possible to use a flash card as an additional storage medium for roms of emulators run on the 3DS side? I believe Pokemon games like Black/White 1/2 were able to connect to Fire Red/Leaf Green (I -think- X/Y could connect to B/W 1/2 the same way, not sure).
DS flash cards are able to connect to the GBA slot. So could something similar be done for 3DS?

To run DS games, you should be in TWL_FIRM with ARM9/ARM7 (I don't remember which one, maybe both)
To access cartridge port pins, you should have kernel exploit.
Each flashcart is different, and you can't access storage either.

e.g 4.5E to 9.2U by using hans without fw spoofing to boot a 9.2 update required cartridge so it would install 9.2U over your 4.5E console?

You can't use HANS for that, but you can do it, it's really dangerous but you can.

Don't know if someone told you but NTR 3.0 has signature checks patched out, so you can use the plugin and pirate

I have no idea if this would be any way possible or reasonable, but with the new way of romhacking, and seeing that people edited system settings, could you romhack the system settings into changing the update server, and possibly releasing your own update (possible kernel access? Idk)? Sorry i'm new and i don't know too much in the way of this especially with the way stuff like this works i just put stuff on my 3ds i don't make it. Just and idea.

Not really, because the System Settings just calls a service to update, so that service downloads and updates, and it checks that the files aren't older than the ones you already have too.
