ya know how on the original launch old 3ds, they had the weird glossy clear piece on the to (idk why but its there)
well, i'm wondering if those can actually be removed/replaced. i have my eye on a 25th anniversary zelda 3ds but its pretty scuffed up on top. so my question is; would it be possible to replace the outer layer and keep the design that's printed underneath? (assuming that it is even underneath)
i don't own an og 3ds myself, but commonly repair them, and i've never attempted to remove the clear layer.

so if anyone is willing to poke around with their 3ds, id very much appreciate!
