Yo. I'm trying to run the Korean version of Super Paper Mario on my North American Wii U's Wii mode. But nothing is able to load the disc and boot it up. I use homebrew apps like Gecko or miscellaneous region free disc loaders, and they always freeze within a few seconds of trying to load the game. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Some IOS or WAD file to install that can patch in Korean game capabilities or something? I have read about Korean games being different from every other region. How can I get my game to work?

when I format my hard drive with "BOOTICE" in fat 32, my pc does not recognize it. when formatting in NTFS usb loader remains loading in "initializing usb device". it helps as I format it and in what size to be able to play games of wii and gamecube and how to pass the games to the hard disk. psdt: My hard drive if it is compatible, try with a usb and it only works when I format it in wbfs.
Psdt: My hard drive is Western Digital Elements 2 Tb

Getting a DSI Exception error while installing cIOS using d2x. 64 gb sd formatted to fat32, and all USB devices disconnected. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hello,

@ClassyDragon

Maybe a problem of SD, I say maybe.

Post a syscheck report, for control ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/syscheck-hacksden-edition.356133/

Hey, thanks for the response! I wouldn't be surprised if it's an SD issue... Although i tried it with two SD cards and had the same result :(
Here's the syscheck report: syscheck.png

EDIT: picture upload doesn't appear to be working so i'll just paste the info here

I have a questiona about 2 step

1- "Requirements & Set Up"

For what is that exactly?
I mean I already do a test with a Pendrive, just use windows to format ntfs and then Wii Backup Manager to put the game inside the wbfs folder on the pendrive.. in the HBC load the USB Loader GX2 and I can see the game there

2- "Installing Modified IOS 236"
What is the purpose of that modified IOS ?
I use this tutorial https://wiiu.hacks.guide/vwii-modding and there is no mention about that

What are the chances of Nintendo banning my NNID if I install homebrew on vWii? Is it possible for them to know?

I’m paranoid because I spent hundreds of dollars on digital games over the years and the NNID I used on my Wii U is now linked to Switch so I’m scared lol

I have a hacked old Wii but I’m getting tired of setting it up/syncing wiimotes when I want to use homebrew

I read the Frequently Asked Questions. Can play my Wii backup discs or do I have to use a USB drive? What about my GameCube games which are on standard size discs. I converted them years go to play on my Wii with a WiiKey.

Can someone recommend and external hard drive? The officially supported ones all seem to be overpriced or difficult to find.

i am trying to install homebrew on my vcwii i have tried this
(Step 1. Download wuphax.elf from Wuphax website and copy the file on your SD card, in SD:/wiiu/apps/wuphax/ folder (SD:/wiiu/apps/wuphax/wuphax.elf)

Step 2. Download by Team Twiizers. Move the "boot.elf" file in the Hackmii Installer .zip file onto the root of the SD Card.
when i open the wii maker it says no boot elf file. sorry super noob questions.
when i download the hackmii the boot elf file is already in it. is this other file just an updated file?
i assume i have to unzip this file to put it on my sd card?

do u take the boot elf file out of the hackmii installer zip and just put the boot elf on the root of the sd card or does the whole hackmii file go on the sd card?

Is everything guide still applicable as of the current date. I want to make sure because I don't want to brick my wii u or leave any bad things inside. Just asking because I'm new and for safety reasons.

I think it means just the boot.elf file (don't trust me I'm new)

Thanks for this guide.

I have some GameCube ROMs which I burned to DVD-R to play them on my Wii with a WiiKey years ago. How can I turn them back into GameCube ROMs in order to play them on my Wii U using Nintendont.
