on IRC tonight all the devs smea, yellows8, crediar said they are all running 5.5.1
I thought I heard they were all testing Hykem's IOSU Exploit before release. Just a rumor, of course.

I go a Taiko no Tatsujin disc and Drum kit...:toot: From Japan, and I have wii u console. I live in Australia.

what do I need to do to play my drum game?:D
Get a JAP region console, or wait for Homebrew to be made to play region free. Otherwise there's no possibly way to play one region disc a different region console yet.

I have everything working fine. I have a question for fiveighteen. Is the definitive package updated periodically and do I need to worry about updating it on my end if so?

Yes, and it would be in your best interest, but it's not required. That's what I think he would respond with.

I try to keep it up to date with major homebrew releases or fixes. The numbers appended to the end of the DefinitivePackage is the date it was released. If you don't update it, you don't necessarily need to worry, you just won't have anything new. :P

@fiveighteen... Here are some things I think you might want to change in your OP.

1. Link to my GUI instead of the old one! https://gbatemp.net/threads/download-the-new-nusgrabbergui.411228/
2. Add this site to the repertoire of available sites, as it even contains the new 5.5+ stagefright exploit: http://www.wiiubru.com/
3. Add my GUI to your package.
4. Remove CDecrypt from your package, as @crediar asked that no one rehost the files. I did the same for my GUI.

As these are suggestions, I really don't want to impose myself on you, especially since you've done a fine job in documenting and answering people's questions here on the forum. However, the only one I heavily suggest for you to change is that you add the new site! It's not my own, but I found it in my travels across the interwebs.

I always need to make a list to get anything accomplished lol thanks. I will definitely link and add both your new NUSGrabber GUI and @Tesa's U_Tility program and update the corresponding instructions in the OP. I'll add the website there after posting this, thanks.

As far as CDecrypt goes, where/when did Crediar say not to rehost? I will respect his wishes if he asks me to remove it (though he hasn't since it has been packaged since September 7, 2015), but the CDecrypt project page shows it licensed under GNU GPL 3, which AFAIK allows redistribution and modification as long as it remains free.

For some reason, I can't find where I read that... Well, I was going to be safe, but since it is obviously hosted under the GNU GPL 3 license, then I'll keep quiet. Sorry. On the bright side, that means that I can include it in my package without having to link to it :)

No worries. I didn't know if he specifically asked you not to or what! Plus it's not like he's actively making changes to it where he didn't want an old version getting stuck in a package.

I feel a little stupid or I'm not and just missing something.
Blocked Wii U via Router.

I'm trying to use Wii U to connect to Mongoose but it keeps saying "Error: 112-1404 Could not display page."
Isnt this because I blocked the WiiU ? or is it still supposed to connect to Mongoose.

Just scared to unblock it to test. I happen to be part of the rare few that stopped updating at 5.3.2 way back when it was the "newest" but I didnt quit for hacking reasons, just quit because RL, now real excited to run Loadiine.

Please help.

@awtgrduzwt5r9, nice find. I'll still wait to be asked not to since that message is conflicting with GNU GPL 3.

Make sure you use TubeHax DNS as well. Are you sure you have Mongoose set up to the correct folder where your index.html is located? Don't unblock it to test. I have my Wii U's MAC address blocked in my router but can still self-host from my PC.

I actually just unblocked it and already have the Tubehax DNS setup, and it connected to payload532, pressed B (I want loadiine), fews secs, crashed to making me choose WiiU home menu (I believe this is called the quick start menu). dont know if that means it worked, or is this a crash and I need to retry.

That's normal (and what it's supposed to do) after loading the Kernel Exploit. Go back into the Internet Browser and then choose Loadiine and it will load up.

Just to be super clear the "Kernel Exploit" is connecting to Mongoose via the WiiU Browser.
when you say it, sounds like a separate thing I should get.
I have my 3DS CFW'd and in 3DS terms they named it Browserhax. just using my exp from that to make sense of how to hack the WiiU, guess I shouldnt.

Also, I keep getting nagged about Updating, when going System Settings > HOME.
any way to get rid of it?

EDIT: just tried rerunning the Browser. I keep getting Race Attack failed! enter system settings and exit and retry.

No, Mongoose is a program that you run on your PC that allows you to host files at an IP address. (ex: mine is https://192.168.1.239:8080). The Kernel Exploit is an exploitation of the Wii U's kernel that allows us to run custom code.

So on the Wii U you go to that address where your files are hosted in the Internet Browser (DefinitivePackage ftw), and you click on the AIO Kernel Exploit, press B for Loadiine, and then it kicks you out to the home menu. Go back into the Internet Browser and click on Loadiine and it will launch Loadiine.

yes Im using the osdriver-AIO.zip.
think I'm confusing something.
Do I keep pressing B (for Loadiine), it just keeps kicking me out of Browser and back to the quick start menu. thats normal? keep trying till "Loadiine" loads up <<< is it its own program? never seen what it looks like.
OR
now that I've already Started with Loadiine, do I press A now?

EDIT: I should note that every time it kicks me back to menu, at the bottom it says "Some data failed to download" <<< does this mean anything or is that just the Nintendo Update thats failing because tubehax.

osdriver-aio.zip is only the kernel exploit that allows you to use Loadiine after. You also need to download Loadiine to load after that. Please do yourself a favor and use the entire DefinitivePackage from the OP.

Well dam that worked.
I was using the osdriver-aio.zip as it was the only one linked (and the other osd nofreezefail) in the "How Do I Run Kernel Exploit"

pressed Crtl+F and looked for DefinitivePackage, haha.

replaced my /WiiU/ folder with the DefinitivePackage, ran AIO Installer, pressed B, got Success! =D ... tried to run Loadiine just to see. think it just froze WiiU?
Is there any "Dont" other than "Dont update". that I should heed?
