Ok, so I keep searching for a solution, but it seems i am overlooking something.


Is it possible to get games update through eshop?
I just don't find them, so I will have to use WUP installer.

My problem though, is that I don't have enough nand space, the data is on usb :(

Does anyone know where the update data is on eshop?

Hi everyone I just did super Mario 3d world works perfect the only flaw is that the SD card is 2gb the one from the wii it takes like 4 to 5 minutes to load the first stage then when I pass the first stage it starts saving when it trying there an error code is 199-9998 then it tells me to turn off the system. I cannot go to the second stage after first save it won't let me go farther. Anybody knows how to fix it or has the issue?

Perhaps you don't have enough space on the SD card for it to save? Try using a larger SD card and see if you get the same error. Otherwise, ask in the Loadiine thread and see if anyone else can reproduce it.

It's not possible to update using eShop AFAIK, but is possible to download DLC, etc ... I tried to update Super Smash Bros to 1.1.1 but it didn't work...
 
Never mind, it seems that during the nnu patch, it downloaded in background :)


EDIT: nope, it doesn't install, keeps nagging me for a console update :(

Did you run the update remover? The Tubehax DNS, try entering that?

I want to get a game update, it downloaded in background, but didn,t want to install.

i think I partially got it.

After unpluging the router, the game loaded, after installing something. So it may have worked after all :P

Try running the game and then the menu might show the version? :P

That's what i want to do, but the game is stuck on the boot screen :(

So, unless my game data corrupted, I will just hope it isn,t my usb flash drive that failed :(

Retrying now, the game is frozen :(

Yes, I'm using the package from the OP. I can get all the exploits to run fine on the Wii U side, but the PC app just won't connect (I ran it as admin, I've made sure to allow it through my firewall, I double checked my Wii U's IP address, etc). I've followed the guide as far as I can tell.

Well it's supposed to come up with an error, but you hit ignore and it will connect anyways. I'm guess that isn't the part that's holding you up though lol.

Are you on 5.3.2?
Are you doing it in the right order? Open game on Wii U -> Open Gecko dNet.exe on PC -> Connect?

If all that is true... try getting to a static menu on the game before hitting connect. I just moved that part of the guide because I thought it was only necessary for doing a FSA Read, but maybe it's needed just to connect to TCP Gecko as well!
VC Games: Press right trigger to show the VC menu
MK8: Press - at the main menu to get to the Play Stats menu
SSB: Press A on Controls to get to the Controls menu
Hyrule Warriors: Go to the Character Select screen
Others are untested. You basically just want to be on a menu that the game will not be loading any files into.

EDIT: Also open up your Task Manager and close anything you can find for Gecko dNet.exe before trying again. Sometimes once you close it, it lingers in your system processes :ph34r:

hey guys, I remember seeing a good time ago, on one of the faqs an URL containing the update files folder for wiiU, separated into folders by year (and also, that was a neat trickt o check if there'd been an update at the time, since the 2015 folder didn't exist at the moment)
Is that url still handy somewhere? I seem to have lost it.

What I've found is that nnu patcher completely breaks game loading. I don't know why, but it does. Your saves should be fine, I just played a few rounds of MK8. Dunno how to update games natively though :/

I'll just wait then, my usb drive is not big enough :(

Anyway, I can still play on 3ds for smash xD

At least Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon are updated :P

That's great news that it was only a minor detail and not something more technical! :) You're welcome. If you get stuck trying to do an FSA read give a holler, and let me know which static menu you use (and how to get there) for games I don't have identified in the OP!

Plug a HDD into that bad boy; you'll need one for USB loading eventually anyways! (or did I miss something and there's a limit?)

May buy one for the wiiu eventually.

For now my flash drive is enough (for smash data, but it's not up to date)

Also, @Summersett, it should be mentioned in the OP that there is actually a link to NNU Patcher on the WUP Installer website. So you could theoretically bookmark just that webpage, run WUP installer once (for kexploit) and then run NNU Patcher immediately after
