You should NEVER use soap of any kind on electronics though and same goes for the kind of scrub depicted, as soap causes salts and other unwanted stuff to build up and the scrub can irreparably scratch the pin connectors or the board circuits.
Then Just water?

I had to use a damp cloth on a wii mobo, because it was disgusting and sticky.

Actually, I think washing it that way is not damageable as long as you dont plug it before it's dryed

Water is perfectly fine, you can even literally just douse it with a hose at high pressure and it's fine as long as you don't use it before it's completely dry. Soap can build up salts and other things that may cover pins or cause bad contact/short circuit. Again, just literally hose it if you want and dry it when it's too dirty:P
