The Backups That Never Were
by: Dax_Fame

Once upon a time, Dax_Fame was switching to Atmosphere CFW emuMMC.
He did backups and they verified via Hekate 5.0.2 on two different SDs.
He then accidentally booted CFW on his eMMC but didn't do anything and immediately shut it down.
When he went to restore his backups they were not on either SD card, instead just empty folder.

TOO STUPID-DIDN'T READ:
While trying to setup emuMMC I booted CFW on my system and apparently don't have any backups to restore...
I didn't do a damn thing on my system other than shut it down because I realized what was going on.
Would this generate anything (like dirty logs) on my system nand to get me b&???

Q: How did you do something so stupid, you noob?
A: I don't know how to boot the emummc after I created it. I used sdsetup website as a guide but still couldn't boot. No boot config found. I chose the fusee payload and it booted my sysnand.

Thank you, anyone in advance

BONUS:

When I try to run another backup it says one already exists... I'm so confused. One SD is empty, the other has this (attached image) in it.
Restore>partitions directories are empty

Thanks.. the only thing concerning me now is it says I should have 3 files, not 17... but it is for a different version. Not even sure if I should attempt.

DAMN I so badly want to stop using SX OS but this is giving me a headache, especially since I might've dirtied my logs from that CFW boot, like an idiot

They say to use those 3 files becuase they contain everything but there should be more files when you make your backup so your backup looks good

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
