The 3DS browser does NOT support HTML5 or Flash

According to this translation, the 3DS browser does not seem to have any support for HTML5 or Flash.

Shame, really. I was looking forward to those features... but it was sort of being expected.

Nintendo SHOULD have their reasons for not having HTML (whatever number) and flash. I bet it's due to the fact that you can use the browser while an app is running. It might cause lags... Who knows?

But I'm very disappointed as well. They spent such a long time on this update and no flash and other plugins. I would jump if the eShop were to have social networking apps, third party browsers and YouTube. I WOULD JUMP.

Fixed. And as tonitonichopchop has kindly pointed out, there's already a thread for this. Plus the browser itself has the capacity to utilize the MOBILE versions of social networking sites plus eBuddy, so you wouldn't really need the apps.
