Interesting piece I saw via Kotaku.

Notable games include:
Joust 3D
Alone in the Dark: The Abductions
Deus Ex 3 (Developed by Ion Storm, there is a 3rd game coming but that one is developed by Montreal Studios)
Amped 4
Oni 2
Freelancer 2
Lemmings Forever
The Getaway Online
A.I (Based on the film, erm this was a arena fighting game!)
Army Men: Air Cavalry (Remember when there was a Army Men game every week? Now replace by Bratz

)

I'm glad those were cancelled

there's NO way Joust would work in 3D...

Lemmings forever sounds like it could have been a good game. So does the gettaway online, but it sounds like it could have been a huge online game. Maybe the wii couldn't handle it.

The Getaway? ARGH.
Can we say worst game ever?
I bought it, played it, sold it the next day! Both of them.
I bought both of them and sold them both the next day

Max Payne 3 was never officially cancelled. I still have my hopes.

Though, what I really hate is what they did with Deus Ex. I can easily say it was one of the best games humanity ever got to see and then they ruined everythign with DX2. I want it developed by the former Ion Storm, not Ubisoft Montreal (although their games are fantastic

Ion Storm Austin was pretty much a shadow of its former self after Warren Spector left, though. I'm glad they pulled the plug on it, as DX3 could have been disastrous under them (not that I believe Ubi Montreal will do a better job, their track record is spotty at best).

Also, a little nostalgia for you.

Joust 3d LMAO I guess someone got it into their thick head finally that making every blockbuster classic title into 3d isn't necessarily a good thing. however I thought llamatron (robotron on N64) was very good when I played it. I think it was just homebrew though. Ahh nostalgia.

Oh most of the games on this list have plenty of titles anyway and have 3d titles also... Alone in the Dark overdone game, Lemmings overdone and 3d is usually strange.. Army Men hmm I rememeber this on dreamcast, why would they not want to stop there? again over done game series..

Looks like sam and max came out, but just a short series so obviously that wouldn't be on the list...and DNF well... let's not touch that one, I'm so bored with that title as it is heh. What else was cancelled.... Full Throttle, not sure if that was even in development. Metal Slug Arcade Vol. 1 GBA or whatever it's called. I'm just glad they came out with MSA on PSP, fine enough. Hmm... some Super Mario game on GC which went to Wii, and Paper Mario went to Wii..I consider those canceled titles but I'm biased because I have no wii

Megaman Anniversary GBC.. there's lots I'm sure.
