Homebrew texture generation (tex3ds) stopped working?

Hello! I am using tex3ds to generate some textures. I'm using the Makefile you find in examples/3ds/graphics/gpu/gpusprites (this one). I've been using it for the past few weeks and it seemed to work fine, t3x were updated as I added some new textures (and updated the .t3s file accordingly). I haven't even touched the Makefile but now t3x files don't seem to be updated when I type "make all". I even tried deleting all .t3x files and see if that might work but it just creates the romfs/gfx directory and leaves it empty. How can I make it work again? Thanks
