Ok, just tested my SuperCard Mini-SD on a non-flashed DS Phat with a PassCard3. I used a stopwatch and came up with 5 hours 10 mins until it turned off. It went 4 hours 55 mins until the red light came on. This test was done playing Sims 2, Mario Basket 3 on 3 and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. The stop watch was stopped each time I stopped playing at the same time as the DS and vice versa. I didn't play with any Wifi to keep the results fair and I plan on doing a Wifi version of the test on my next charge.

So far:

SuperCard miniSD, PassCard3, ATP ProMax 150X 2GB miniSD = 5 hours 10 mins (Turned red at: 4 hours 55 mins)

Hope this helps with anyone who is willing to test another flashcard.

I think leaving Nintendogs running is a good test. It has 3d graphics, and something is always happening onscreen so it's not static, and of course there are sounds constantly playing the background. I plan to (eventually) test the battery life of my EZ4 miniSD.

I'll think about nintendogs, I was hoping though to have a game intro that involved 3D that would stay the same all the time.
I'd just like to rule out any changes betwen the test however minor. Maybe if I use the one save file from nintendogs on all three devices that would work..?

Is that possible? are the saves from M3, SC and EZ4 compatible?

I was thinking of using NSMB start menu screen, it has minimal 3D but will repeat and has music, sounds.
Only thing I've played lately that I can remember being suitable. Any suggestions welcome.

Also I'm going to use virtualdub for recording the webcam video. I think it's the best for locally storing the job.

Animal Crossing is probally your best bet. Yes, there are lots of variables in that game, but if you simply let it start up to the start screen, it will lock the camera on 1 animal and follow it for the rest of the time until you do something. It should end up fairly simliar, there isnt much different that can happen while that little animal is walking around that will drastically change things.

That's interesting. However, to be useful the comparison should really be done on the same DS with the same battery. Only someone with multiple flash carts would really be able to do a proper comparison.

Yeah. I'll say now that when I left my EZ4 (flashme'd standard DS) on Nintendogs it turned off at just over the 5 hour mark. The interesting thing about it though is the fact that I think I got at least another hour of playtime after that after turning it back on (different game though).
