BC v6
MIOS v10

The bootmii ios is ios 254.
The HBC launches that IOS and it loads the armboot.bin file in the bootmii folder of your SD card.

Sneek and Uneek setups replace that file by the neek one, which loads kernel.bin from the sneek folder.
The original bootmii armboot.bin launched ppcboot.elf in the bootmii folder. (The bootmii program.)

If you have bootmii installed as boot2, it will also search for an armboot.bin on the bootmii folder of your sd and launch that. If it can't
find that file, it will revert to the original wii boot2 code.

I have once experimented with the ios254 application, and have hexedited it so that it booted the armboot.bin file in the bootsnk folder.
I changed the wad slot so that it installs as ios 253. I also have a small application that launches that ios 253. With that setup, you can
use the original bootmii features (original bootmii armboot.bin in the bootmii folder) and start neek by launching ios 253 trough the application.
I never checked if the application could be launched from within priiloader, creating an "auto boot into neek" that way.
It could solve the issues you are having when you use cdi on a wii with bootmii as boot2.

I just noticed that your syslog isn't showing ios 254 as being installed. Maybe hbc can launch boot2 as well in such a case. dunow.

No it's IOS254. It seems you dont have it (unless the syscheck program you used is an old version that don't check ios254) so maybe HBC loads bootmii from boot2 if it isn't installed in ios254 after all. So I could be wrong in my earlier post... Maybe someone else can clarify

wiierd cDi works now on my boot2 wii with the newest revision, i was going to take logs of it failing but it didnt, many times.

How is that strange? I have a boot2 bootmii wii, and it has worked for quite a few beta's now (and the reasons for it not working were due to other things).

Anyway: beta14 has support for games with an update partition. I have quickly tested this with Rune factory: Frontier and house of the dead 2&3, and they work fine.

Oh, and that the uneek overlay now shows whether it's a wbfs or a discex game is also very nice.

(the problem games are still there as far as I can notice (tested super paper mario, wii fit plus, samurai warriors 3), but there is still clear progress)

i hear that, this is a great mod for uneekdi indeed !

also i have solved my problem with my boot2 wii's not reading cDi , failing sd's.
time to go buy a few more.

thanks again , will play test more games tonite

Okay guys, I think the overall support now pretty good and the module is in my opinion quite stable.

Thanks for testing, without you we wouldn't be this far.

I've noticed now that the module can detect the correct offsets itself the game support is much increased!
Time to look into the "trouble" games and bring the game support to 100%.

Yes I agree that great progress has been made with cDI module stability and several games that wouldn't load on the early betas now work fine.

Here's an update of games I have tested with beta14:

GC games
rabbids party collection

Message "Not a wii disc" in disc channel
wii fit
wii fit plus

Don't Work
metroid other m -blackscreen
smash bros brawl - freezes on white screen after "now loading", can still exit to wii menu
metroid prime trilogy - blackscreen after message to insert MP Trilogy disc back into wii
metroid prime 3 corruption - blackscreen, then wii resets - weird!

Works
A Boy and His Blob
Another Code R
Black Ops
Bully
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty Black Ops
Cate West: The Vanishing Files
Cooking Mama: World Kitchen
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Goldeneye 007
House of the Dead Overkill
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
Madworld
Mario Kart Wii
Mortimer Beckett & Secrets of Spooky Manor
NBA Jam
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands
Prince of Persia Rival Swords
Punch Out
Red Steel - no audio on cutscenes, otherwise works fine
Red Steel 2
Rogue Trooper: Quartz Zone Massacre
Silent Hill Shattered Memories
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Paper Mario
Wii Sports
Wii Sports Resort

There's only one game now that reads as GC for me (Rabbids Party collection), and dual-layer games have been unplayable. Otherwise, most other games have been working great!

Thanks again obcd & OverjoY!!

I gotta say this project is really starting to shape up. As Joyflow said earlier, compatibility is about 90% now. And from the remaining 10%, the majority can still be played in discex format.
biggrin.gif

I've tested Super paper mario, wii fit plus, SSBB, metroid prime trilogy. The very same games that cause problems in .wbfs (beta 14) work fine in discex.

Further findings:
Metroid Other M (NTSC, discex) still stutters and loops upon loading
Sakura wars: so long my love (discex) gives the gamecube mentioning

Worth mentioning: s/uneek +DI always had the obligation to have at least one game in the \games folder. That requirement is still there -> If you have 0 discex games and a gazillion .wbfs games, it still won't work.

since you are having issues with dual layer games, i think maybe you have a problem with dealing with a big number. maybe somewhere you are using a u32 to store an offset, but you need to always use a u64 to make sure you can hold the bigger numbers.

Okay...I've been testing a lot lately (mostly starting and directly quitting to the menu). The following games work in .wbfs:

Puzzle Quest- Challenge of the Warlords [RQWPG9]
Monster Hunter Tri [RMHP08]
METAL SLUG Anthology [RMLP7U]
Guitar Hero- Warriors of Rock [SXIP52]
Worms battle island [SILP78]
Wii_Play_Motion [SC8E01]
Wii sports [RSPP01]
a boy and his blob [SBLE5G]
Marbles Balance Challenge [RK6P18]
Guitar_Hero_III [RGHP52]
Spider-Man- SD [SPDE52]
Sonic2010 [SNCP8P]
Shaun_White_Snowboarding__Road_Trip [RDFP41]
Rock Band 3 [SZBP69]
Rock Band 2 [SZAP69]
SUPER_MARIO_GALAXY [RMGP01]
SUPER MARIO GALAXY MORE [SB4E01]
WarioWare - Smooth Moves [RODP01]
TMNT - Smash-Up Cowabunga! [R2TP41]
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess [RZDP01]
The Beatles - Rock Band [R9JP69]
Silent Hill - Shattered Memories [SHLPA4]
Sid Meier's Pirates! [SIDP54]
Shaun White Snowboarding - World Stage [R6NY41]
Shaun White Skateboarding [SHNP41]
Rune Factory - Frontier [RUFEMV]
Another Super Mario Bros. Wii [ASMB01]
MarioKartWii [RMCP01]
The_House_of_the_Dead__OVERKILL [RHOP8P]
Star Wars - The Force Unleashed 2 [SF2P64]
SAMURAI WARRIORS 3 [S59P01]

Error games:
-dual layered games (already mentioned lots of times by everone)
-the .wbfs games Guitar Hero Smash Hits [SXCE52], SUPER_PAPER_MARIO [R8PE01], WiiFitPlus(EU_P) [RFPP01] and Guitar_Hero__World_Tour [SXAP52] have either wiimote desync or show as gamecube games.

On discex, just about all games I try play. The only exceptions I could find so far are the following:
-Metroid other M NTFS: just skips and loops the intro
-Sakura Wars PAL (SAKPNS): stuck at intro...also shows gamecube banner
-punemu disc (which is normal, as this custom disk NEVER worked under uneek).

I'm out for the weekend, but will test more in the upcoming week.
smile.gif

All tests were with beta14.

More tested games (same as in previous post):

Wii Party [SUPP01]
SUPER MONKEY BALL BANANA BLITZ [RSME8P]
SUPER MONKEY BALL STEP AND ROLL [SMBP8P]
TATSUNOKO_VS_CAPCOM_ULTIMATE_ALL_STARS [STKP08]
The Conduit [RCJE8P]
TrackMania [R6RPHH]
Wario_Land_The_Shake_Dimension [RWLP01]
BIT.TRIP COMPLETE [SVTEXS]
Driver San Francisco [SDVP41]
Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort [SP2P01]
NSMBWii2_The_Next_Levels [PPNE01]
Zack and Wiki - Quest for Barbaros' Treasure [RTZE08]
THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 AND 3 RETURN [RHDP8P]
A Shadow's Tale [SDWP18]
ANNO [RN4P41]

Give a black screen for some reason (note: this is exactly the same with discex):

Tetris Party Deluxe [STEETR]
ARC RISE FANTASIA [RPJE7U]

@xfcrowman: isn't rabbids party collection a dual layered game?
I'm also a bit curious as to which version of super paper mario you're using. I noticed the game is dumped more than once (linky to the release thred), so perhaps the version I was using was faulty to begin with (even though I actually finished it without even noticing).

Yes - Rabbids Party Collection is a dual layer so even if it showed up in the disc channel it wouldn't work. However, it's the only game I have that still shows up as GC.

I'll have to look at my version of Super Paper Mario, but I'm pretty sure its the oldest one - I've had it since winter 2008.

Here's an update to my games tested list (more games working!). Interestingly, I tried Arc Rise Fantasia with the beta 15 and it worked for me after the second attempt. On the first attempt it blackscreened after the opening cutscene.

@OverjoY/obcd - the new alphabetizing function for the diconfig works for most games, but for some reason it doesn't work for games that have really long titles (i.e. Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories). The games with long titles go to the end of the list. I have not tried the titles.txt feature, but I'll mess around with it when I go home later. I have always wanted SNEEK to alphabetize the game list and it's really great that you have added this to the cDI!

Cheers

Strange...it continues to blackscreen on my end. Then again, I never saw the opening cutscene. I think this has something to do with the region. I have a PAL wii (my television is able to display both NTSC as PAL), and those non-dual layered games that don't work are all NTSC ones (keep in mind that most of my NTSC games work fine). The PAL equivalent of Super paper mario and tetris party deluxe work fine (haven't tried arc rise in PAL yet).

Perhaps already mentioned in this thread, but worth repeating: you don't need a \games folder in beta 15 (this was a normal requirement for uneek). If you only have .wbfs games, it's all fine.

And finally: more games working:

Tetris Party Deluxe [STEPTR]
Band Hero [SXFP52]
Big Brain Academy - Wii Degree [RYWP01]
de Blob [R6BP78]
BOOM BLOX Smash Party [RYBP69]
Trauma team [RKDP01]
Call of Duty - Black Ops [SC7E52]
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex [RJAP52]
CREATE [SECP69]
de Blob 2 [SDBE78]
DEADRISING [RINE08]
DeadSpace [RZJE69]
Disney Epic Mickey [SEMP4Q]
Donkey Kong Country Returns [SF8E01]
ENDLESS OCEAN [RFBP01]
Endless Ocean 2 [R4EP01]
ExciteBots [RX3E01]
FIRE EMBLEM 10 EUR [RFEP01]
FlingSmash [R22P01]
FRAGILE DREAMS [R2GP99]
SUPER PAPER MARIO [R8PP01]

@beta testers:

rev 17 is out, with some more compatibility fixes and a fix for the gamelist alphabetizing issue described earlier.

When testing a new beta, you should rename or delete the usb:\sneek\gamecfg folder because otherwise the module will not calculate new offsets for the games loaded.

Hey...I was about to post that.
tongue.gif

...but it's true. I can confirm that wii fit plus (PAL) and Super paper Mario* (NTSC) now work. Dual layered games are still a work in progress, but it IS in progress.

EDIT: the full batch of working titles tested this morning:

Green Day - Rock Band [R36E69]
Guinness World Records - The Video Game [RG5EWR]
James Bond - Golden Eye [SJBE52]
Just Dance 2 [SD2P41]
Gunblade NY & LA Machineguns [SQDP8P]
WiiFitPlus(EU -P) [RFPP01]
SUPER PAPER MARIO [R8PE01]

*this game took some troubleshooting with Overjoy...it seems like we somehow have different versions with the same gameID.

I recall a patched newer version of the game was released by nintendo that fixed a bug with one of the levels, I forget which one, but I do know they repressed the disc fixed, that could explain issues between the same gameid, i don't think they change them between versions, do they? IME I've only seen different gameid's based on region

These are the ones that still doesnt work so far (of all my games, not counting dual layer games)
Tales Of Graces v01 NTSC-J STGJAF (wbfs) - banner loads on disc channel - black screen
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess NTSC-U RZDE01 (wbfs) - doesn't load on disc channel

I guess that I have a Zelda v01 since everyone reported that this game works but for me it's not.
